South African actress and DJ, Thuli Phongolo, has come under fire after failing to appear at an event she was booked for, leaving both the event organizers and her fans disappointed. The incident has sparked a wave of criticism on social media, with many questioning her professionalism and commitment.

Thuli Phongolo was scheduled to perform at a high-profile event that had been advertised for weeks. The organizers had promoted her appearance extensively, ensuring that her fans knew she would be a highlight of the evening. According to sources, all the arrangements had been made well in advance, and Thuli had confirmed her participation.

On the day of the event, the excitement was palpable. Fans gathered in anticipation of Thuli’s performance, eager to see her in action. However, as the evening progressed, it became clear that something was amiss. Despite repeated attempts by the organizers to contact her, Thuli was nowhere to be found.

The event organizers took to social media to express their frustration and disappointment. In a series of posts, they detailed their efforts to secure Thuli’s attendance and the lack of communication they received from her team. “We booked Thuli Phongolo for our event, and everything was confirmed. Payments were made, and logistics were sorted. But when the time came, she didn’t show up,” one of the organizers tweeted.

They further elaborated on the impact of her absence, noting that many fans had come specifically to see her. “Her no-show not only disappointed her fans but also caused significant disruption to our event. We had to make last-minute changes to the lineup, and it affected the overall experience for everyone.

Fans of Thuli Phongolo were quick to share their disappointment on social media. Many had traveled long distances to attend the event, only to be let down by her absence. “I came all the way just to see Thuli perform. This is so disappointing,” one fan wrote. Another added, “She needs to respect her fans and the people who book her. This is unacceptable.

Amid the growing backlash, Thuli Phongolo took to her social media platforms to address the situation. In a statement, she apologized for her absence and explained that unforeseen circumstances had prevented her from attending the event. “I deeply apologize to the event organizers and my fans for not being able to make it to the event. Due to unexpected personal reasons, I was unable to attend. I understand the disappointment and frustration this has caused, and I am truly sorry.”

She also promised to make amends and ensure that such incidents do not happen in the future. “I am committed to improving my communication and professionalism. I will work hard to ensure that this does not happen again, and I hope to make it up to everyone who was affected.

While Thuli Phongolo’s apology is a step in the right direction, the incident has undoubtedly left a mark on her reputation. The event organizers have expressed a cautious willingness to move forward, but they emphasize the importance of reliability in the industry. “An apology is appreciated, but actions speak louder than words. We hope Thuli will take this experience to heart and honor her commitments moving forward.

This situation serves as a reminder to all entertainers about the importance of professionalism and communication. As Thuli Phongolo works to rebuild trust with her fans and industry partners, it highlights the need for accountability and reliability in the competitive world of entertainment.

Meanwhile, Terry Pheto’s Braynston has reportedly been auctioned for less than the asking price.

The actress has been embroiled in a multi-million rand alleged National Lotteries Commission corruption scandal. A preservation order was recently obtained by the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) on her property, which they claim was built with funds siphoned from the National Lottery Commission (NLC) grant fund.

According to various reports, the funding was intended to launch a public campaign and implement culturally sensitive medical interventions to achieve traditional circumcision. Among the luxury home’s features are three bedrooms, two bathrooms, a rooftop entertainment area, a maid, and three bedrooms.

The spokesperson for the Special Investigating Unit, Kaizer Kganyago said, “There were no takers unfortunately, there were people who registered, about 28- people, but none of them put an offer on it, which is a very strange thing. The house is still available. What’s going to happen now, they will find other ways of dealing with the sale. All that we want is the money back, so that we can take that money back to the lottery, so that it is used for what it was intended for.”

In 2022, Terry issued a statement refuting the alleged fraud and corruption allegations leveled against her. Her statement came after the Special Investigating Unit (SIU) seized a number of assets, and businesses including luxury cars ending the investigations.

“I am dismayed to discover that I am the subject of a Special Investigation Unit probe into allegations of fraud relating to funding by the National Lotteries Commission. I deny any involvement in the alleged scheme that has been reported on. I also had no prior knowledge of an application to obtain a preservation order against me, and have no sight of this order,” she said.

Thuli P’s interest in acting began at a young age and when she was in high school, she enrolled in drama classes.

Thuli got her big acting gig at the age of 17-years-old. She was as Zama on SABC 1’s Tshisa.

The role on Tshisa opened her up to more opportunities as she went on to host Craze show on e.TV and she also had roles on Mzansi Magic’s The Republic and SABC1’s Makoti.

In 2014, Thuli Phongolo landed her most notable role to date when she was cast as Namhla Diale in the popular South African soap-drama Generations: The Legacy. Phongolo was in the drama for over four years and left in 2018 after her character was written off from the story.

Following her departure from Generations: The Legacy, the actress has had other roles in a few other shows and films including I Am Sofia and the popular Showmax original series- The Wife.

Dogg DBN says DJs should stop wailing about not getting gigs, as they need to learn from the likes of Uncle Waffles, Oscar Mbo, and Thuli Phongolo.

The socialite explained in detail why some DJs get booked and well paid despite not being skillful.

He urged those lamenting to evolve and learn how to serve more content.

“Djs complain that promoters book these girls who can’t Dj or show Ass n what not. Most up n coming Djs complain all the time about this. Yes “SOME” of these girls have lots of followers n suddenly become Djs n get high-paying gigs, cant Dj, that we have established. And I agree with most of you niyabahlula. Yall can mix n are very passionate,” he wrote.

The reason why Uncle Waffles & Thuli Phongolo get booked more than highly-skilled DJs revealed

“SADLY THE GAME THESE DAYS DOES NOT CARE HOW DOPE OF A DJ YOU ARE. GET THAT INTO YOUR HEAD. LEARN TO PLAY THE GAME & EVOLVE WITH IT.”

Dogg says event organizers won’t invest millions into events just for a skilled DJ, but for someone who will give them great profit.

“That’s just how things work these days. South Africans amathatha they love HYPE, Women with Big Asses or people who can create interesting content (like abo Oscar Mbo etc). So u can cry tears in your bedroom nobody gives a fvck, this is money n imali ifika kanzima.”

DBN further urged skilled artists and DJs to stop lamenting but rebrand.

“Stop bashing promoters for not booking you and start creating a brand n building a fanbase. Events akusiwona awaka Gogo wakho n not everything revolves around being a Good Dj.”

Dogg DBN explicated using artists like Uncle Waffled who gets paid more than Christos who is well-skilled.

“Look how Legends Christos, Rocco, & many of the best Djs have disappeared in the game. Why? The game is about CONTENT FIRST. YOUR MUSIC HAS NOW BECOME THE SOUNDTRACK TO YOUR CONTENT. People are more interested in things that LOOK GOOD, because we are a very LUSTFUL NATION.”

“Uncle Waffles charge 8/10 times more than Christos but Christos is the legend who made SA music what it is today. Inja yok’gcina! But sadly time for that has passed n we need to adapt to the new ways of doing things.”

“Many of u will die upcoming Djs coz instead of learning, improving, studying the game n trying to be relevant ni busy liking Izinqa on IG n posting memes,” he added.

Dogg used himself as an example while speaking about the power of social media and content creation.

“Social media has a lot of money. I make money daily from it. I’ve been paid 50k just to post one post on my IG, why? I understand how to use this thing n I have created a brand through content creation. Im unique n I’m original.”

“Before u start posting n complaining. Take time n look at yourself n ask yourself “How much am I worth? How many people pay to go see me perform? Can I fill up a hall ngasekhaya of peopke coming to see me perform?” if u’r honest to yourself u’ll SHUT THE FUCK UP & START CLEANING YOUR SOCIAL MEDIA N LEARNING TO PLAY THE GAME!”

After an 8-year-old child from Vista Park, Bloemfontein got mauled by his neighbour’s Pitbull, Mzansi has been escalating the call for these dangerous dogs to be banned. While many are on the opposing side, DJ and actress Thuli Phongolo is all for having these dogs locked up and away from people’s homes. The story of the 8 year old is just one of the many we have seen hogging headlines. Thuli is in support for having these vicious dogs be considered dangerous enough to not be owned as pets.

She said an ex of hers had three Pitbulls and they were extremely violent if they have not eaten. She then paid her tributes to the many young lives taken by the dogs.

Some of her followers agreed with her while of course, others like Hungani Ndlovu are in support of Pitbulls saying the owners are the ones not properly training their dogs.

Hungani Ndlovu got dragged and told to stick to acting when he defended the dogs.

“Pit bulls aren’t inherently dangerous dogs. The owner is responsible for how he/she moulds the dog. Y’all wanna ban Pit Bulls but keep Rottweilers, Bull Terriers, German Shepherds, the list goes on! It’s not the dog! It’s the owner!!!”
“This pit bull situation is like blaming fast cars for people being involved in accidents instead of blaming the driver!!! You can’t drive 300km per hr then jiki jiki you’re in an accident and we must blame the car it’s the owner, not the dog! This pit bull situation is like blaming alcohol for the drunk drivers on the street instead of the drinker/driver. The problem is the owner, not the dog!”Thuli Phongolo recently canceled her gigs after DJ Sumbody’s death. “Unfortunately, I will not be able to honour my gigs tonight. I would like to pay respect to my dear friend @djsumbodysa & honour his life and the impact he had on my mine. The show doesn’t always have to go on, somethings are worth taking a pause for My apologies for the inconvenience.”

Thuli took note of the nasty comments of people telling her to not be dramatic.

Social media has certainly not forgiven former Generations actress and DJ Thuli Phongolo for rubbing them off the wrong way with her ‘arrogant’ tweet. Phongolo falls social media backlash victims as she announces wanting to sue her network service provider, Telkom.

Thuli Phongolo under fire after insinuating she is rich

The outraged Thuli Phongolo upset tweeps yet again as she takes to Twitter to announce that she wants to sue Telkom. Evidently, the DJ is having some connection issues with her network provider, as she puts them on blast on social media hoping for tweeps to jump onto her bandwagon.

During her Twitter rants, Thuli Phongolo goes on to mention that for the whole week she has been having difficulties with the connection. And whenever she tries to reach Telkom, she cannot get through. Her outrage comes from not getting the assistance she would expect from her service provider.

Tweeps were then immediately reminded when Thuli Phongolo basically told them off on Twitter that she was very ‘rich’ and she never worries about price when making purchases. Tweeps have turned on her, as they are questioning ‘why would she use Telkom when she was so rich?

In a turn of events, Thuli Phongolo have since had a bit of a change of mind from her ‘arrogant’ tweet the other day about Mzansi’s economy. She has written to her fans, letting them know she is now in tune with reality after she received her hybrid system invoice.
