Generations: The Legacy bidding farewell to 4 of its stars

The time has finally come for ‘Generations: The Legacy’ to bid farewell to a few characters on the long-running soapie. Actors Buntu Petse, Karabo Maseko, Zizipho Buti, and Rebaone Kgosimore are departing the much-loved show.

“Through their stellar performance, these actors have contributed to the rich history of the show and as such, their departure marks a bittersweet moment.

“These actors have consistently portrayed their talent, dedication, and versatility – captivating viewers and earning them a special place in the hearts of fans.

“We will miss them and wish them all the best in their future endeavors,” read a statement issued by the TV show.

Kgosimore portrays the character of Paul Moroka Jr in the SABC1 soapie and viewers did not receive him warmly with complaints regarding his acting surfacing online.

Buti joined ‘Generations: The Legacy’ in 2020 along with TV presenter-turned-actor Maseko. The actors will be moving on to other projects and steadily continuing to build solid names for themselves in the industry. Petse herself is fast becoming a rising star, thanks to the popularity of the Netflix series ‘Miseducation’.

Petse made her debut on ‘Generations: The Legacy’ on December 2, 2019, as the daughter of Nontle Majola of Ayanda (Samela Tyelbooi) – a rebel who sees herself as a feminist, attending rallies, refusing to bow down to the way society wants her to be.

The characters of Nontle, Luyolo, Tracy, and Paul can still be seen on screens until the end of November when a dramatic story arc reaches a mind-blowing conclusion.

Cosmo Diale to die on Generations The Legacy, Ronnie Nyakale who plays a gangster and businessman Cosmo Diale on Generations The Legacy is hinted to die on set.

Cosmo was backstabbed by Mavusana who organised his stabbing to look like a drug delivery gone wrong, in-process he lost Gadaffi’s merchandise.

Admitted to a public hospital where drugs and manpower are lacking, an indication of real public hospitals in South Africa, Cosmo is set to succumb to an infection.

Generations The legacy Twitter account posted a spoiler that Cosmo’s condition is getting worse, where the doctor Luyolo revealed that his survival chances are 50/50. In the same scene, Lucy Diale a role played by actress Manaka Ranaka is seen holding her head in disbelief an indication that it’s worse than they anticipated.

Commenting on the twitter update, Generations actor Junior Singo who plays Mpho on the SABC 1 soapie says “Been a while since we had a funeral on the show. What if …… Could it be?” an indication that Cosmo might die.
Even though this is not conclusive, the role of Cosmo Diale in Generations The Legacy seems on the line ever since it looked more of a #Ezweni centered soapie.

According to Generations: The Legacy Teasers of Episode 243, Tuesday 27 October, newly appointed doctor Luyolo delivers bad news to the Diales. Could this be Cosmo’s death?

how Tau Mogale will exit Generations: The Legacy

Prepare your popcorns, tissues, and hot-chocolates for how Tau will exit Generations: The Legacy. The long wait is finally over and the time has finally come to bid farewell to one of Generations‘ longest characters on the show. We’ve been patiently waiting to see how Rapulana Seiphemo’s character will leave the show since he joined The Queen as Hector Sebata.

Generation fans were hoping that Rapulana Seiphemo wouldn’t exit the show for fear of him being chopped on The Queen and also because people are not connecting to his character on The Queen. There’s been a lot of criticism regarding his role on The Queen since he joined. His relationship with his daughter’s Thando and Mpho Sebata has been called mediocre compared to his relationship with his Generations daughter; Nontle.

We saw Tau getting arrested last night for the murder of Oliko. Tau has always been a family man and would do anything for his daughter and his baby-mama; Ayanda. He and Kumkani killed Oliko to protect Ayanda but now that the chickens have come home roost, he has no choice but to take the fall.

This is how he’ll leave the show! Word is, Mfundi Vundla didn’t want to kill his character because he’s hoping for Rapulana’s return on Generations. He’s apparently hoping for things to fall apart for Rapulana so that he can welcome him back with open arms since he knows the Ferguson’s have a terrible reputation.

Tau doesn’t want Nontle to grow up with her mother and since she grew up without him, he’d much rather sacrifice himself for his daughter’s happiness. He and Kumkani usually get away with everything like all the villains on the show. He would’ve gotten away with the murder of Oliko, if he hadn’t joined The Queen. So, we can actually thank The Ferguson’s for Tau’s downfall.

Generations The Legacy Secrets Revealed:You Did Not See This Coming

Did Tshidi’s child really die? Is Kumkani (played by Vuyo Dabula) never coming back to Generations? Will Tau Mogale not return to the show? Every once in a while, you have to dig deep to find the truth.

First of all, actors take a hiatus from soapies all the time and come back. Tshidi left the show when she needed a break and resumed her role. Vuyo Dabula isn’t permanently leaving Generations, but he’s taking a break to pursue his other interests, film in particular. The set isn’t the same for him because he and Rapulana were tight on-screen and off-screen. Vuyo made history alongside Pearl Thusi by being a part of Africa’s first successful Netflix hit film’ Queen Sono and with Netflix approving a sequel, he’ll be busy shooting that, along with his other upcoming movies and TV shows.

Vuyo is talented and has a robust physique; he’s every casting director’s dream. So the whole Kabisi and Tshidi love story is definitely going to be short-lived. Mr and Mrs Moroka lack chemistry, connection, because Tshidi is faking it, even if she genuinely loved him, Kabisi Moroka isn’t a heartthrob and he’s not good on the eye as compared to Kumkani.

The show is going into a new direction because they are losing their heavyweight actors, and they have to make do with what they have left.

Second of all, Tshidi’s baby isn’t dead. She had to make him look dead so that Jack Mabaso can back off. Tshidi had to pull off the performance of a lifetime so that Jack Mabaso could erase all memories and thoughts of his son. Did Jack even request a post mortem investigation to find out what really led to the demise of his son? If they take the matter further, chances are Tshidi will outmanoeuvre him again and pay off some unethical Doctor.

It’s only a matter of time until she starts disappearing for the weekend or elopes on holidays, to go spend some time with her son. With Jack off her trail, she’ll be able to spend time with her son without being a target and yes, she will divorce Kabisi because she doesn’t need him anymore.

She is going to spend her days moping around, waiting for Kumkani to come back. Remember when he confessed his undying love for her and she never denied her feelings for him?
