RIP: Samthing Soweto loses his dog – Video

South African singer, Samkelo Lelethu Mdolomba, known professionally as Samthing Soweto announces the death of his pet.

The singer mourned his dog on Instagram and shared an old video where they bonded together.

“RIP Ntsimbi, until we meet again,” he wrote.

Friends and fans sent love to Sam as he goes through the hurt of losing a friend.

Samthing Soweto isn’t the only SA celeb to lose a pet; in 2022, Moshe Ndiki mourned the death of his dog, and hosted an all-white funeral service for the pet.

Another celebrity who lost their dog, a puppy is Moshe Ndiki. There is no doubt that losing a pet is heartbreaking because you have nurtured it since it was a puppy and experienced parenthood with it.

When it dies, you experience grief, and some people struggle to cope with the loss. In a post, he expressed his heartbreak at Sugar’s untimely passing.

“I’ve been going through the most the past 2 days , trying to put it aside just for me to work and we’ll just work and saying to myself I’ll grieve on Sunday, baby I love you so much @sugarndiki. I love you and hope the other side treats you well , glad to have loved you , known you and been your dad and mom,” he wrote.

He continued:

“So many many memories, you’ve been my 1st born and and what a putty you couldn’t meet your sibling, I’m shattered and I’m asking myself ndiyintoni ngaphandle kwakho Sugar, I love you sana lwam. Funeral and proper arrangements will be made soon.”

Samthing Soweto – I’m not gone just dealing with somethings

Samthing Soweto addresses the silence exuded from his end after the release of his latest single, Amagents. In June, the singer released the aforementioned song after apologizing to the public for a hiatus that was caused by depression and other issues that made him lose weight. Since he released the song, Samthing announced a music tour but it appears he’s returned to his shell.

Returning to Instagram on Wednesday, Samthing apologised to fans for the silence again; he says he’s dealing with somethings. He also said there will be an update about the shows soon.

“I am not gone, I am still around. I’m sorry for the silence, I’ve just been dealing with some things, but nothing crazy. I’m hoping tomorrow when I jump on, I will give you proper updates on the shows… Thank you for your patience, I will see you soon,” he said in the video.

Mzansi shows love to Samthing Soweto after confession about depression

South African singer, Samthing Soweto is the pioneering Amapiano vocalist who launched 1000 other male vocalists in the genre. In 2019 he gave fans his most prolific album to date Is’phithiphithi, which has had fans wondering when his next offering will be. But in recent months, the focus has been on everything else about the musician except his music. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that the Nodoli musician has revealed that he is battling with depression.

Initially, Samthing Soweto returned properly to Twitter in February 2022 when he was teasing details about his much anticipated album return following the release of Is’phithiphithi back in 2019. He excited fans when he confirmed that he has been working on a new album in the three years since not delivering on new music. Fans were excited at the prospect of getting new music.

Samthing Soweto opens up about his battle with depression
For those not in the know, Samthing Soweto was part of the original formation of hit acapella group of the late 2000s into the 2010s The Soil. But due to internal drama, Samthing Soweto left the group just as they were about to become the legendary group they have since become.

He then attempted to create his own band called The Fridge, which arguably did not make any mark in the music industry. Then Samthing Soweto struck gold as an amapiano vocalist and his path to super stardom was paved. During the height of his popularity as this innovator within amapiano, Samthing Soweto was honest about needing to deal with his depressive states, which at the time seemed to be attached to poverty and the slump he faced following leaving The Soil. But as we have all come to learn, depression or depressive states are not linked to finances.

Given that Samthing Soweto had teased a new album in February 2022, by March 2022, he was already teasing new music. He also revealed during this time that he does still face depressive states which leave him feeling despondent. But he then went on to affirm that it was the messages of support from his fans that kept him in high spirits.

Then came the image that went viral as fans were concerned about the health and mental state of their fave. Ever the people’s artist, Samthing Soweto confronted the matter head on, thanking his fans for their continued support and revealed that he was battling with personal issues he was not comfortable revealing.

But recently, he won over his fans’ support and hype when he revealed that sometimes he forgets just how great a musician he is. WATCH: Samthing Soweto finally speaks on his weight loss

Mzansi musician, Samthing Soweto dismisses hideous assumptions about what might have caused his drastic weight loss.

A few days ago, the singer got people shocked after sharing selfies of himself on social media.

It was assumed that he was battling an illness, and many reached out to him through emails and prayers as fans were worried.

In a video shared on Instagram, Samthing appreciated the love and concern received due to the weight loss.

He said he isn’t dying, but he’s going through a lot which is personal as he didn’t share or hint at the things.

Sam claimed that work and other daily activities get him exhausted and made him lose weight.

He further announced that new music is dropping soon.

Samthing Soweto’s weight loss leaves fans seriously worried

South African musician, Samthing Soweto has been trending on social media after he shared a picture of himself, and some of his fans pointed out that his health is deteriorating after noticing his weight loss.

Allegations from social media are that the artist has diabetes. Like Sophie Ndaba, who drastically lost weight, Samthing Soweto might be suffering from the same fate.

After getting a new haircut, Samthing Soweto shared his pictures on social media and asked his fans to rate the barber.

Sadly for him, most of his fans mocked him saying that he looks horrible, while some started comparing his current pictures with the old ones.

Samthing Soweto to settle beef with Jub Jub in the boxing ring?

Samthing Soweto’s decision is as cool as his look, as he said he won’t be fighting Jub Jub.

Jub dragged the singer while being interviewed on Mac G’s Podcast and Chill weeks ago.

The TV personality was pained over Samthing’s refusal to be on Ndikhokhele remix.

“He sings like a harlot,” he said.
