Somizi Mhlongo addressed his daughter’s surname issue with his “baby mama” actress Palesa Madisakwane on the latest episode of his reality show which aired this morning.

Somizi Mhlongo and Palesa Madisakwane have a 26-year-old daughter named Bahumi together.
Bahumi has expressed that she wants to change her surname to take on Somizi’s but her mom’s side of the family says that there are traditional aspects that come first. So, the media personality met with Palesa to discuss.

“I don’t see Somizi often, not unless if there’s something that’s important about Bahumi or maybe family, that you know, we want to communicate with or unless if I want money,” she said.

Palesa asked Somizi why he didn’t conclude everything as yet and he said it was because he did not have the time. But why didn’t you conclude everything? I don’t have time which is wrong,” he said.

“Now I’m asking myself… whether Somizi is serious. He has to be clear on whether he’s in or out whether he’s going forward or in reverse, he shouldn’t tell me tales,” she responded. The Idols SA judge then says they should not blame each other but instead work on fixing it. He thens asks for a date for when he can pay damages.

“We should pay damages and do a ceremony and get it over and done with because it is blocking Bahumi’s blessings,” he said. She went on to ask him if he really wants to do what he needs to because it feels like he’s doing it for the sake of doing it. This person is not only disrespecting my family but I felt like you disrespected my womb,” she said.

“Now you make it feel like it’s for the sake of it. How do you feel about it? Do you really want this to happen?” she continued. Somizi explains that he wants Bahumi to take his surname and continue his legacy.

“To me, for Bahumi to own the Mhlongo surname it will mean so much because she’s the only child and she’s a girl. And for me it’s about the legacy and I believe she has what it takes to grow the surname,” he said.

“Because I think she’s that much of a strong woman that even when she gets married she will always be Bahumi Mhlongo- Van Wyk,” he continued.

Palesa went on to say that she felt Somizi disrespected her family and her womb. She went on to ask Somizi if he understands that she has given him a child and he has no other children.

“This person is not only disrespecting my family but I felt like you disrespected my womb,” she said. I don’t like serious conversations, I hate meetings. So in my head I’m hearing what she’s saying and I won’t take it lightly but let’s not get too serious,” he said. Thank you for your womb,” he continued.

‘You disrespected my womb’: Baby mama Palesa Madisakwane slams Somizi

Mzansi actress Palesa Madisakwane appears to slam her “baby daddy” media personality Somizi Mhlongo on the latest episode of his reality show which aired on Wednesday 8 June.

Palesa Madisakane has 26-year-old Bahumi with Somizi Mhlongo. She previously revealed that he did not pay damages for Bahumi. So, Bahumi was given her mom’s surname.

In a preview for the next episode, Palesa tells Somizi he disrespected her womb. Although it is unclear what happened between the pair, it is likely to be about Bahumi’s surname. This is because Palesa questions why Somizi has not done what he was supposed to as yet.

“I should have completed everything by now,” he says

“But why didn’t you finish doing everything,” she asks.

“I don’t have the time, which is wrong,” he responded.

“Now I’m asking myself… whether Somizi is serious. He has to be clear on whether he’s in or out whether he’s going forward or in reverse, he shouldn’t tell me tales,” she responded.

“This person is not only disrespecting my family but I felt like you disrespected my womb,” she continued.

Somizi went on to say that he does not like serious conversations.

The conversation is likely to be in relation to Bahumi wanting to change her surname. She wants to take on Somizi’s surname – Mhlongo but Palesa’s family said that the proper traditional procedures need to happen first.

“If she wants to change her surname to Mhlongo, she is an Mhlongo at the end of the day. There is nothing I can do, but I am just worried (about) what my dad will say. My father always says that there are steps that need to be taken,” said Palesa on a previous episode.

“It’s not about money, it’s just about certain things to be corrected so that we can give her our blessings,” she continued.

She added that Bahumi’s uncles are like fathers to her.

“When uMa [Mary Twala] said I can give the baby to them, she was not ordering me she was not insisting or taking my baby away from me. As a caring and loving mother she was to me she meant she will take care of my baby and she loved me enough to want to see me go back to school and make a good life for myself,” she clarified.

This comes after Palesa gushed over how happy she was to tell her friends about Somizi when he was her “boyfriend.” Tweeps also noticed how she glowed when she also mentioned how happy she was when she was dubbed “Miss Party” at Somizi’s 21st birthday.

Tweeps can not help but believe that Palesa still has feelings for Somizi even though he is gay. Twitter users feel as though Palesa still loves Somizi and has a soft spot for him.

@ZeeRight; “Damn, Palesa really loved Somizi and seems to still do hey. The way she speaks about him it’s as if she’s hoping for a love back nyana #LTDWSOMIZI

@NkululekoXaba_; “Palesa kept all those photos from many years ago , you can’t tell me that she doesn’t have a soft spot for Somizi , also you could see the excitement in her face when she spoke about being Mrs party at Somizi’s 21st . LTDWSOMIZI

Meanwhile, Palesa Madisakwane recently opened up about only finding out the media personality was gay after she fell pregnant – on the latest episode of his reality show.

Somizi is alleged to have hidden his sexuality from his baby mama Palesa Madisakwane back in the day when they first met. She claims that she only discovered it on her own after she fell pregnant with Bahumi, their daughter.

Palesa went on to claim that she did not suspect anything about Somizi because he did not show any gay signs back then.

Her excitement and love for him could be the reason why she did not look further into his sexuality, she says.

“In my little girl mind, I thought I had a boyfriend. I would brag about him being part of Sarafina. He would come home driving a Gusheshe and didn’t act gay at all,” she said on the show.

South African actress Palesa Madisakwane recounts how she reacted after realizing that the father of her child is gay.

The actress who also starred in Som’s reality show Living The Dream With Somizi detailed how she was informed about his s.e.xuality and how life has been afterward.

Palesa said all she knew about Som was that he was her boyfriend who was famous for starring in Sarafina.

She said Late Mary Twala who is Som’s mother was the first to reveal to her that he is gay.

“When I went to speak to Somizi’s mother and his sister, I remember Somizi’s mother saying ‘my child, you can see how Somizi is. He isn’t like other boys. Give us the child and go on with your life.”

“I had also just found out that he was gay and I had fallen pregnant with his child, you know? It was a confusing time of my life to understand what being gay meant. I think in my little girly mind, I thought I had a boyfriend,” she added. “I could brag about my boyfriend being a part of Sarafina whenever he came to see me,” she laughed.

Speaking about what hurts her the most, Palesa mentioned the narrative Somizi has been feeding the public about her knowledge of him being gay.

Bahumi’s mother says she’s hurt as the media personality claims that he told her of his s.e.xuality before they started dating.

She recounted how Som told Cassper Nyovest on The Braai show about the saga.

“Even the baby mama knows that when she told me she liked me, I told her I was gay. She said I was lying and she tested me. I decided to go for it and that’s how it happened,” he told the rapper.

“What hurts me the most is that when he does his interviews or when I read somewhere… he would often say that I knew he is gay and that is false. When he says I knew that he was gay, how did I know such? Where would I have learned about homos.e.xuality through him.”

Baby mama Palesa Madisakwane on why Bahumi could not take Somizi’s surname

South African media personality Somgaga aka Somizi Mhlongo’s “baby mama” Palesa Madisakwane, shared her thoughts on why their daughter Bahumi cannot change her surname to Mhlongo just yet – on the latest episode of Living the Dream with Somizi which released on Showmax on Wednesday 11 May.

The second episode of Living the Dream with Somizi focused less on his estranged husband Mohale Motaung. The episode divided into him “cancelling” his friendship with Unathi and his daughter wanting to take on his surname.

Somizi has a 26-year-old daughter with actress Palesa Madisakwane, named Bahumi. Bahumi sat down with her mom for a “semi” serious talk. She explained that it was not a “super hectic” talk but her mom said it was all good as long as she is not pregnant or does not have a boyfriend.

Bahumi explained that she wants to change her surname from Madisakwane to Somizi’s surname – Mhlongo. Palesa explained that the main reason Bahumi wasn’t given the Mhlongo surname was that things were not done correctly, culturally.

“If she wants to change her surname to Mhlongo, she is an Mhlongo at the end of the day. There is nothing I can do, but I am just worried (about) what my dad will say. My father always says that there are steps that need to be taken,” said Palesa.

“It’s not about money, it’s just about certain things to be corrected so that we can give her our blessings,” she continued.

Palesa went on to explain that she wants Bahumi to change her surname but there are certain cultural aspects that cannot be avoided.

Bahumi explained that she did not believe her surname was a cultural issue but more biblical. Palesa explained that her ancestors don’t know her because she was not introduced as an Mhlongo but Bahumi did not share the same belief.

Palesa went on to say that she was upset because this was a conversation Somizi should have been leading.

“I am upset because Somizi is the one who should be leading this and making sure it happens but he’s not prioritising the issue,” said Palesa.

“They must not claim you, they do not know you. What gives them the right to claim you?” she went on to ask.

“She is not a Mhlongo. Bahumi is a Madisakwane. Her uncles are like fathers to her,” she added.

Did you know that Faith from House of Zwide’s and Somizi‘s baby mama fought over a man?

How it started

These two actresses were once best friends for many years. However, their friendship had a fall out after Winnie Ntshaba snatched Palesa’s rich man.

Palesa Madisakwane was dating businessman Nico Matlala whom she later introduced t her bestie Winnie in a bid to have her bae uplift their business but it later turned out the businessman was more interested in lifting Winnie’s dress instead.

“I know that she has been struggling, waiting for her things to run smoothly so she can make money and buy a house. Feeling sorry for her, I went and spoke to my partner [Matlala] asking him to help Winnie… I did not know that she will stab me in the back like this. I’m very disappointed and hurt, but I’m not surprised. This is not the first time she has done something like this. She once went to a sangoma to bewitch me, but my pastor saw through her and she even apologized to me,” Palesa says.

Winnie’s car, a Jetta, was spotted parked at Nico’s house for weeks as she was using his BMW. It was reported that the House of Zwide actress was going to Nico’s place at ungodly hours and allegedly spending more time with the man than his girlfriend, Palesa. A catfight then broke out between the two friends.

Nico broke up with Palesa, claiming that she was a control freak, and he wanted to start dating women his age. He also stated disassociating himself from both women because he claimed their drama was tarnishing his image.

Winnie, however, said that they were being “played” by Nico, but Nico hit back at the women, and claims he did in fact sleep with Winnie.

“I slept with Winnie at my house. Everything is recorded and I will reveal them once they try to outsmart me,”

“If they want to take me down, I will reveal everything about their shady businesses. I have submitted everything to my lawyer as I have realized that I am dealing with bitter women… I will reveal all their dirt, as they are shady as hell.” Nico said at the time.

Winnie and Palesa both posted pictures on Instagram showing they were still friends after the whole drama, but nothing was seen of their friendship after that.

Winnie Ntshaba and Palesa Madisakwane are both going on with their lives separately. The latter is slaying her role in House of Zwide while the other is busy being a mom to her children.
