J’Something announces the passing of his grandmother in a lengthy note shared on his Instagram account. The South African musician talked about the challenging past few weeks, especially with having to lay his granny to rest.He said it wasn’t easy, but grateful for the love and support received.

“Not all days are equal, matter of fact NO days are the same. We have been through a rather intense journey these last few weeks for a few reasons but one of them has been laying our gran to rest, which wasn’t at all easy. We are very thankful for the people we are surrounded by, the friendship we share, and the support structure we have created for ourselves,” he wrote.

“In perspective these days have had moments of hardship BUT all in all we remain so grateful for what is. We remain present in every moment and we believe in the importance of feeling every emotion, going THROUGH things and not around them, and communicating.”

“We have SO much good news to share with you all soon. This #CocoandJ journey has gotten us so excited … thank you for cheering us on and celebrating us the way so many of you do.”

J’Something pens down sweet message to his wife

J’Something went on date with his wife, Cordelia Godi.

The couple are lover birds and the musician do not hesitate to flaunt her and tell the world how much he loves her.

J scooped some snaps from their recent date which held over the weekend, on social media and captioned them with heart-melting words.

“Hey @cocodafonseca … The more time I spend with you the more I realize that heaven truly is a place on earth! Date night with the wifey and tequila with the homies after dinner. Trying to make the most of every second in every day … not easy but sheesh living one day at a time has been THE most valuable lesson I’ve learnt so far on my journey. Married my best friend never sounded so true,” he wrote.

J’Something celebrates seven years with his wife

J’Something is still head over heels for his wife Cordelia.

The couple has been together for 11 years and married for seven.

On Monday he shared images of their traditional wedding, professing his love for his wife.

In the post, J’Something spoke of their journey together, vowing to stick beside her.
“Seven years ago we made a public declaration that we would commit to discovering this life together until we die, that we would thug it out through the hard times and we would dance in the moments of bliss, that we would kiss and cry together, and that we would always talk …

“Was a scary commitment, I won’t lie … But what is love without vulnerability … what is love without risk … what is love without the unknown … I love you pretty little thing. Till death do us apart Cordelia.”

While the entertainment industry is back in the swing of things, it took a hard knock during the height of Covid-19.

Speaking previously to TshisaLIVE, J’Something said though he might have missed performing on stage, he was happy to have been afforded more time with his family and to be present to celebrate milestones.

“One of the greatest gifts I’ve been given now is the time. I was so busy before Covid-19 and then all of a sudden I was home every day … I made the most of what I do know and what I did have. Milestones are always great, the 10 years … these are the things that we take a lot of pride in as a family. But also the simple things, like today I got to put my children to sleep,” he said.

South African musician, J’Something and his wife, Cordelia Fonseca celebrate 11 years of togetherness.

The couple tied the knot over 5 years ago, but are celebrating 11 years anniversary of being in love.

Taking to Instagram, J shared a photo of the date they had for the celebration and captioned it with a lovely note.

“Last night celebrating at @marble_sa 11 years of rocking together through this life … what started out as a “phase” to some has turned into a field of sunflowers, something so beautiful, peaceful, colorful, fun, and filled with love,” he wrote.

“We have had our fair share of challenges but grateful I am for EACH one that’s come our way … it’s in those challenges we find growth and get exposed to new levels of love.”
