Here is how actor Jet Novuka (Captain Mpambani) will exit Uzalo

Jet Novuka’s exit from Uzalo shocked many and they have probably wondered how he will leave the show.

According to Uzalo spokeswoman Nomfundo Zondi, Jet’s character, Captain Mpambani, will be killed, meaning he will exit the show for good.

“But viewers will see him until 14 May,” said Nomfundo.

She said his last two episodes would be like an action movie.

“Captain Mpambani will be killed by Nkunzi, played by Masoja Msiza, in episode 50, which will be on 13 May. The viewers will see his body on 14 May. We expect action and emotions,” said Nomfundo.

Novuka’s future on the telenovela allegedly depended on Dawn Thandeka King, who’s also leaving the show.

Insiders said the producers couldn’t expand his storyline after MaNgcobo’s character was killed.
King will be last seen on 26 April.

Nomfundo said that MaNgcobo was at the centre of Mpambani’s career.

“But I can’t say he left because King left,” said Nomfundo.

Captain Mpambani is leaving Uzalo.

Jet Novuka plays the role of no-nonsense Captain Mpambani in the telenovela that airs on SABC1.

The news of his departure was announced by Uzalo in a statement about the changes that had taken place for season seven.

Confirming the news, Uzalo said:

“We bid farewell to the much loved and revered community leader Qhabanga played by Siyabonga Shibe, head honcho and kingpin of KwaMashu MaNgcobo played by Dawn Thandeka King and judicious and unwavering lawmaker Captain Mpambani played by Jet Novuka. Stay tuned, these characters will exit the Uzalo world in an epic, drama-filled adieu.”

New characters joining the telenovela are Mbali Maphumulo, who will be playing Phelelani’s mum, and Khabonina Qubeka is coming back.
