“I was exactly who I think was! What are y’all forgetting I came with my own unique sound! that nobody could master! Even today I’m still the only one who has the recipe! I influenced the entire game! I changed the direction of the game! & sold platinums with CDs,” K tweeted.

The Drumboss returned to Twitter, revealing that he has finally accepted that the SA music indsutry isn’t all about talent. What they doing to Kabza is the same thing they did to me during my prime! I knew it would happen being a hit maker & consistency irritates some of our people so much that they compare you to each & every artist that rises,” he wrote. K further explained to a disappointed fan that prime doesn’t last forever.

“I’ve made peace with it! This game ain’t no longer about Talent , learn the game & play it better than everyone else,” he wrote. The event escalated on social media and many labeled it a disrespect to the King of Amapaino. Reacting to the saga, Heavy K says he’s experienced the same as Kabza during his prime.

South African DJ and music producer, Heavy K opens up on his poor background, and how he overcame poverty.

The South African musician gave people a glimpse into the poor life he lived growing up.

“I come from a very poor family. My parents had so much love for me. Even when my mother was still alive, she loved me. We are a family of four, when we ate, I would see that on my mother’s plate there would not be meat while the three of us would have meat. I would ask her why she didn’t have meat and she would say she didn’t eat meat,” he told TshishaLIVE.

However, the whole process gave him the strength to pursue success, which he has now achieved.

“It killed me inside but I am a positive person and when my mother told me that it gave me more power to chase my dreams.”

His followers were happy for him and his son.

“God gives these beautiful souls to only the right people that can shower them with the kind of love they need during their journey. Happy Birthday to Drumboss Jr,” one commented.

He opened up to TshisaLIVE about his journey as a dad raising a child with special needs when the son was turning two.

“Being a dad has been and still is amazing. It was unfortunate our firstborn did not get enough oxygen when he was born, which damaged his brain and affected his ability to move. That part is challenging, but at the same time I believe God doesn’t make a mistake. My son is not a burden. With him, God is testing my trust in him.”

“As a father to a special child, it is all in my hands. There are a lot of potential treatments that can be done to help him be the best version of himself.”
