Pabee Moganedi spill the beans on her romance with SK Khoza

Actress Pabee Moganedi joined TshisaLIVE in the studio recently and revealed how badly she was affected by the backlash when she started dating actor SK Khoza. Opening up about her relationship for the first time, Pabee explained that even though it wasn’t easy when she and SK first went public with their relationship, they survived because they chose each other.

I am in a relationship with a beautiful man with a big heart and we met in the workspace. We weren’t friends initially, we just bumped into each other on set and would see each other at events for promotional reasons of the show.

“And until at some point, we ended up being each other’s date at one of the events and it was a beautiful moment. When SK and Pabee first started dating, their relationship hogged headlines as speculation swirled that he had left his baby mama for Pabee. She explained that the backlash started affecting her career as an actress.

“I’m normally a strong girl who can give two flying kites about people’s opinions but I feel that this was an obstacle for me, because it now started to affect my bread and by that I mean I was now getting blacklisted in my workspace for something I felt was unrelated to the way I do my job.

“And whether or not you agreed on my relationship … I mean, nobody knew what was going on and I felt that it was a bit unfair that people had opinions about something they knew nothing about. Despite the negativity they initially faced, Pabee said that she and SK were going strong.

Stripped Of His Nominations: Sjava!

Stripped Of His Nominations: Sjava!

It’s confirmed, MultiChoice strip Sjava of his 2 DStv Mzansi Viewer’s Choice Awards nominations, amid rape allegations levelled against him by Lady Zamar, making them the second event organiser to do so within a week.

Earlier in the week, Cape Town International Jazz festival was the first to distance themselves from the artist, then yesterday MultiChoice confirmed that they were still considering doing the same while having ongoing negotiations between MultiChoice lawyers, the production team involved in the awards and Sjava’s management.

Lady Zamar made the shocking allegations at the beginning of this week, which had Mzansi fans divided on the matter and even some ZAlebs trying to joke about the whole situation. Clearly event organisers are taking this matter very seriously and aren’t prepared to sit on the fence.

Sjava was one of the top nominees for the upcoming DStv MVCA ceremony, which will be hosted by Minnie Dlamini-Jones on the 14th of March at the Ticketpro Dome in Johannesburg, competing against Sho Madjozi, Prince Kaybee, King Monada and Dr Tumi.

According to the Sowetan Live, Reggy Moalusi, the executive head of corporate affairs at MultiChoice South Africa had this to say, “The DStv Mzansi Viewers’ Choice Awards has decided to withdraw the nomination of local artist Jabulani Hadebe popularly known as Sjava, from this year’s awards,”

“The decision to remove Sjava’s eligibility, including cancelling his performance at the awards is not one that has been made lightly, but we believe is in the best interest of all parties concerned.”

Sjava who has refuted the rape allegations in a lengthy statement is yet to respond to this recent development.

Do you think more brands will follow suit and this confirms that Sjava’s career is on a fast downward spiral?

CANCER CAN’T STOP OUR LOVE!

CANCER CAN'T STOP OUR LOVE!

THIBELLO Moswang fell in love with Motlalepule Kgale the moment he first laid eyes on her.

Although they met under unusual circumstances, it didn’t stop Thibello from wanting to say “I do”.

Both have cancer. They met in January while undergoing treatment in hospital.

“I was attracted to her kind heart. She’s well-behaved, quiet and is such an attractive lady,”

Thibello (29) from Manthe in Taung, North West, told Daily Sun he couldn’t stop thinking about Motlalepule after he first saw her.

“I dreamt about her that night. It was clear she was sent by my ancestors. She’s the right person for me.

“When I spoke to her about my feelings, she listened. I was deeply touched when she said yes to me,” said Thibello.

On Monday, Motlalepule said yes again when Thibello proposed in the oncology ward of Klerksdorp-Tshepong Hospital in the North West.

Thibello said Motlalepule had the qualities he was looking for in a wife.

“I was attracted to her kind heart. She’s well-behaved, quiet and is such an attractive lady,” he said.

Motlalepule (24) from Tsetse Village in Ventersdorp said she was surprised by the proposal.

“I wasn’t expecting to be loved while lying sick in hospital. I didn’t expect such a big step,” she said.

Thibello fell ill in 2018.

Motlalepule was diagnosed in October last year.

When asked about their illness, they both said it took them time to accept it but later made peace with it. They didn’t want to disclose the type of cancer they were receiving treatment for.

Thibello is a self-employed waste recycler but stopped working when he fell ill.

He plans to pay lobola in November and get married the following month.

Thibello doesn’t have any children, while Motlalepule has a four-year-old girl from a previous relationship.

Thibello’s cousin, Fufi Moswang (33), said he would help him to pay lobola.

Motlalepule’s sister, Mmabatho (34), said the family were happy she found someone she loved.

“We can’t stop her because she is happier than before.”

Klerksdorp-Tshepong Hospital acting CEO, Dr Mpho Dikhing-Mahole and operational manager, Hantie Cloete, said they were happy for the couple.

Oncologist Dr Aisha Hoosen said the hospital was seeing more black cancer patients, most of them young.

As the coronavirus continues to spread, actress Buhle Samuels believes it should give Africa a rest.

On Twitter, the Muvhango actress said she hopes the virus, which has been detected in Nigeria, doesn’t spread to other African countries.

“Scary times we are living in! Travelling anywhere right now isn’t ideal! Praying for everyone affected and praying this thing doesn’t spread further, because God knows how we already have enough issues in Africa! #Coronvirus,” Buhle said.

Chinese officials reported the coronavirus outbreak in December, after it was discovered in the central city of Wuhan. The virus has since spread worldwide.

The SA department of health released a statement this week calling on South Africans not to panic and said preventive measures were being put in place.

Buhle isn’t the only one who has spoken about the virus amid fears of it spreading to SA. Comedian Trevor Noah poked a little fun at the situation.

LISTEN | Pearl Thusi & DJ Zinhle on single mothers taking over the world

Not only are Pearl Thusi and DJ Zinhle #bodygoals and #careergoals but they’re rocking the hell out of #motherhood and they’ve opened up about how they do it.

Speaking to T’bose on Kaya FM, Pearl and Zinhle opened up about the reservoir of strength they drink from that allows them to never compromise on their dreams just because they are mothers.

Pearl said having watched her mother give up on some amazing opportunities led her to take a different approach.

“She didn’t go because she was worried about missing things like my first period or (something like that) … Now in retrospect, I realise that might have been a huge sacrifice for her or she may have been scared – only God knows.

“I believe that kids are not here for us, they are here through us. God is going to handle her life … like who am I to think that I am better or more important and my presence is more important than God’s presence in her life. I trust God with children,” Pearl said.

Zinhle shared the same sentiments as her bestie, adding that she believed that Kairo was created to be a perfect fit in her and AKA’s lives.

“It’s the same story for me. Kairo is a very independent kid and I think she was created not to come into my life and then make me move things around but to come in and fit perfectly into mine and Kiernan’s life.”

Both powerhouses said that having a good support system goes a long way in helping women raise their children when they’re busy conquering the world.

Listen to the interview below.

Zinhle previously told TshisaLIVE that while Kairo gets more and more independent by the day, she has learnt the value of communicating and spending time with her.

“I just realise how independent she is, but also that I need to prioritise time with her. She is growing so quickly and I don’t want to miss out on teaching her valuable lessons because I suddenly got busy and didn’t make time for her. When I am at home, we play and talk and that is time dedicated to her.”

Pearl has been rocking being a single mother longer than her bestie and she’s recently adopted a beautiful baby girl named Okuhle.

She’s also previously shared some of the ups and downs in an interview with Touch HD.

“She cries every time I leave, she’s sad but she understands the purpose of it all, she’s got big dreams. I always tell her I don’t want her to wish that Ariana Grande or Beyoncé or anybody else … was her mother, I want her to be glad that I’m her mom and for me to make her proud, these are the sacrifices we need to make. She’s got a father who also loves and supports her, so it makes us stronger, but it’s difficult.”

IN MEMES | Fans think Boity's PA should be named DRAMA!

Viewers of Boity Thulo’s reality show can’t decide if t

hose dramatic nature is becoming too much for most of the TV presenter-turned-rapper’s fans.

From the beginning, fans have had issues understanding Bobby’s role in Boity’s life. It has since become more confusing for them because it doesn’t seem as if Bobby knows he’s “staan plek”.

Wednesday night’s episode left tweeps shook after they watched Bobby fail to follow simple instructions.

How does a person book a flight that lands at 6.25 and a connecting flight that leaves at 6:20? Haai … there he left tweeps confused.

However, there were a few tweeps who were there for Bobby and all his drama.

Fans felt the show needed Bobby to spice things up because without him, all that’s left is Boity talking about her dog and lending her mom her clothes. This wouldn’t make for a very entertaining show.

The photos shared are not the usual quality we get to see and it’s been assumed by some fans that it’s for a project.

However, she cleared the air on Thursday, saying;

“Everybody has been asking about these images. This is not a backdrop. It was a perfectly shot image by @inphasedj at the Hartebeesdam during another shoot. These captured my soul somehow and everything it’s about. I felt so warm and content. Just a good phone with a good angle.”

Kgomotso Christopher leaves Scandal!

Kgomotso Christopher leaves Scandal!

After her four year tenure as Yvonne Langa on e.tv’s flagship soapie, Scandal!, the channel has announced Kgomotso’s exit.

Although the channel claimed she would leave “temporarily”, it remains to be seen if the award-winning actress will return at a later stage.

Her current story line which feature 10-year-old-year-old boy Tebello, whose real name’s Litlhonolofatso Litlhakanyane, has captured the show’s viewers.

“She will be temporarily exiting the show. Her last on-air appearance in the current story line will be on 2 June 2020,” etv’s head of local productions, Ziyanda Mngomezulu said.

Said Ziyanda: “We have been fortunate to have Kgomotso on our screens. Her professionalism, infectious personality, and enthusiastic spirit has been a great asset to our channel. We will miss having Kgomotso as a part of the eFamily, and we wish her all the best in her life’s next chapter. It is certainly never goodbye, but rather see you later.”

Meanwhile, Kgomotso said she had a great time on set and that it didn’t feel like she was working.

“I’ve never worked a day on Scandal! because I did what I loved, and my artist-child was allowed to play freely. All that’s left to say is, thank you to the Scandal! and e.tv family…until our paths cross again,” said Kgomotso, who is nominated for a Safta this year in the best supporting actress category.
