Murahu hit-maker Makhadzi bags Gold status

Musician Makhadzi Muimbi has reached a new milestone.

The talented singer’s hit song, Murahu, has reached gold status.

An excited Makhadzi took to social media to share the good news.

“After 11 years of singing I just received my first gold status,” she said.

“Murahu ft Mr Brown has reached gold as a single. I am speechless and happy at the same time. Please help me to celebrate, my dream came true vhathu vhanga.”

This milestone comes after the song was named Song of the Year on four radio stations in Mzansi.

Although Makhadzi had a tough year last year as she was embroiled in a lengthy battle with her ex-manager over unpaid royalties for her debut album Matorokisi, she seems to be on a winning streak.

Makhadzi also announced that the music video of Murahu reached three million views on YouTube.
