Former Miss SA Shudu Musida set for Miss World finals
Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida is getting ready to go to Miss World to represent Mzansi.
The beauty queen who recently crowned her successor Lalela Mswane will be heading to Puerto Rico in a few days.
With just a month to go before the main event, the Miss South Africa organisation posted a video of Shudu and said she was getting ready for the event on 17 December in that country’s capital, San Juan.
“A new journey begins for our Miss World South Africa, Shudufhadzo Musida as she heads to Puerto Rico! 1 MONTH TO GO!”
Shudu also posted a video of herself getting her teeth ready for Miss World at the dentist.
Another video of her going to buy luggage bags was also shared by the Miss SA Organisation on social media.
She said she would going to Puerto Rico for 26 days. As part of her Miss World passion project, she has published a book called Shudu Finds Her Magic about bullying. She has been touring the country, going to primary schools, and teaching pupils about it.
She will competing against contestants from 116 other countries.
Her counterparts, Thato Mosehle and Natasha Joubert have already represented Mzansi at other international pageants
Natasha went to Miss Universe in May, where she was unfortunately eliminated before reaching the Top 25, while Thato was crowned second runner-up at Miss Supranational.
Lalela was set to visit Israel for Miss Universe in December, but there’s controversy surrounding her trip, with people calling for her to drop out of the pageant, but the Miss SA Organisation has said this won’t be the case.
Government also withdrew support of the organisation after apparent unsuccessful consultations organised by the Ministry of Sport, Arts and Culture.
