Zolisa Xaluva (Caesar) allegedly FIRED from ‘Smoke and Mirrors’

Well-known Mzansi actor Zolisa Xaluva, who joined e.tv’s telenovela Smoke and Mirrors earlier this year as Caesar has reportedly been dropped.

Entertainment commentator Phil Mphela has announced that talented actor Zolisa Xaluva has been let go by popular telenovela Smoke and Mirrors.

“Zolisa Xaluva fired from #etvSmokeAndMirrors. The prolific award-winning actor has been let go from the hit e.tv telenovela — which is the 7th most-watched show in South Africa. The role of ruthless businessman, Caesar, will likely be recast,” said Mphela.

It is unclear why the fan-favourite actor has been fired from the show at this time. The publication reached out to Mr Xaluva who was not available for a comment at the time of publishing this article.

Here are some of the reactions from social media users:

@iamdjmfundisi: “I’m reminded of the JZ era where his cabinet was always reshuffled at midnight.”

@indlovukazi_3: “This guy always gets fired from every show he is in. The unfortunate part is he kills every role, and he is very talented.”

@NmabokelaNonoza: “They are wrong. Xolisa is well behaved, I don’t care what he did. But the guy is a legend and doesn’t have bad manners. So, in this case etvsmokers are wrong.”

@thoriiso_m: “Yes. The production team is the one that is wrong, Zolisa could never.”
