Mzansi star, Loliwe hitmaker Zahara is breathing a huge sigh of relief after her townhouse was saved.
In a Facebook post, Zahara expressed her gratitude to her fans for supporting her. Her house was scheduled for auction today, but she cancelled it after receiving contributions from her fans to save it.
“A month back your Country Girl came out and spoke about how she’s on the verge of losing her house and asked for Donations in coming up with the R350 000 the bank wanted. Your Country Girl came out and spoke about her financial problems to show ownership of her life moving forward. Thank you to each and every individual who donated and helped out, your contributions were very helpful.. Nenze njalo nakwabanye. The auction that was scheduled for tomorrow is canceled. Thank you for your donations and prayers,” she captioned the post.
She went on to thank Radio 2000, UMhlobo Wenene, Lusanda Mbane for giving her a platform to tell her story.”

Zahara was reportedly at loggerheads with Nedbank after defaulting on her monthly instalments. City Press reported she was on the verge of losing her 1.9 million rand house after Nedbank threatened to put it on auction to the highest bidder for defaulting on her R17 665, 40 monthly installments.The star reportedly took out a R1.9 million loan to buy her Roodeport home
According to a local publication, the Loliwe hitmaker reached out to Kaizer Chiefs because she believed they could help her with her financial woes. She wanted assistance with hosting a three-hour concert for her fans in order to raise funds to save her house.
“I want to approach Kaizer Chiefs to help me. I promise to do great. I just want to have a concert, not just for me but my fans and family too,” she told the publication.
“I want to plead with Chiefs and Kaizer Motaung when they have their next match. I don’t want to do much. I just want to sing my heart out. I can do a three-hour show. All I’m asking for is the sound equipment, stadium, and ambulances as well as other things,” she added.
We are glad that her fans have managed to pull through for her.
