Musa Khawula sent social media into a frenzy after he pulled a Lorch-Natasha Thahane discovery on a potentially new relationship in Mzansi’s entertainment industry –that of Mohale Motaung and his Zimbabwean bae Obey Muchipisi.

Through his detective skills, the celebrity gossip blogger discovered Mohale’s boyfriend through sunglasses he wore while on vacation in Dubai. Obey Muchipisi was spotted on the sunglass reflection.

Apparently, this is not the first time they have been out and about together.
Following the stunning revelation, a number of people are wondering who Obey Muchipisi is.

Here is a look at things you probably did not know about Mohale’s Zimbabwean boyfriend.
Obey Muchipisi is a 35-year-old Zimbabwe-born actor. He was born in Mutasa, Zimbabwe.
He did his O’ Level at Harare High and his A’ Level at St Andrew’s High.

Obey holds a B.A. in Media Studies degree with TV Productions as a major. He also has professional qualifications as an Accountant (CIS), P.R. consultant (UNISA), and Film Actor (Auteur Film School, Cape Town).

Mohale’s new bae has played roles in some of the popular South African television series like Rhythm City, Generation: The Legacy, Tshisa, Erfsondes, Ya Lla, and eKasi: Our Stories.

He has also acted in movies like Jozi Kings and Ordinary People and in the short films Wedding Day and Yolanda.

According to TVSA, Obey is popularly known for his appearance on eKasi story entitled “The Boy Next Door” (Season 3, Episode 8) as Bambanani, a young Zimbabwean who ends up in Soweto and discovers that in order to get the girls he has to first impress the gents.

In Zimbabwe, Obey has also featured in a number of productions, including a daily soapie, a drama series, a public service announcement, and audio dramas. He was also a presenter for Kids Net and National Radio FM.

He is a multi-talented artist. Besides being an actor, he is also a singer, ballroom dancer, presenter, hairdresser, voice artist, cameramen, MC, and news reader.

Obey owns a casting agency called Trinity Management.
