Wedding bells for DJ Zinhle: Social media reacts to ‘DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected’ season 2 trailer

Mzansi musician and businesswoman Ntombizinhle “DJ Zinhle” Jiyane‘s Fans are over the moon after seeing the trailer of the second season of her reality TV show.

DJ Zinhle: The Unexpected season two is set to premiere on 6 August on BET Africa (DSTV channel 129) and viewers are particularly eagerly anticipating what they saw in the first six seconds of the trailer.

News of the reality TV series’ return was announced by the channel last week, with the mom-of-two excitedly responding, “We BACK!”

Although she’s received immense hate from trolls on social media for her co-parenting style with her ex, AKA, her fans have stood by her. This is why they could not help but ask if her boyfriend, Bongani “Murdah Bongz” Mohosana, had popped the question when they saw the season trailer.

The first six seconds show men in suits standing outside the gate of the Jiyane home in Dannhauser in KwaZulu-Natal. Zinhle is also seen getting dressed, as her house manager, Zama, fixes her doek while the sound of women ululating is heard in the background. Although it is not entirely clear what the occasion is, if you’re South African you know that sounds like an amalobolo scene.

This could mean that Murdah Bongz sent his uncles for lobolo negotiations at Zinhle’s parents’ house — meaning they’re engaged to be married.

HOWEVER, it could also mean that he had sent his uncles to pay for inhlawulo (damages) after he got Zinhle pregnant and they had their daughter out of wedlock.

The Hair Majesty owner has previously hinted at someday getting married to Murdah Bongz. During an episode of the first season of her reality series, Zinhle said that they do plan on getting married but only when they feel the time is right.

“(Bongani and I) have plans to get married but it’s not going to be when people want us to get married, we have a lifetime ahead of us. We are happy everyday,” Zinhle said at the time.
