Watch: Actress Nomsa Buthelezi breaks down after learning of Lindiwe Ndlovu’s death

Gomora Diva Nomsa Buthelezi, has taken to social media to break her silence following the passing of legendary actress Lindiwe Ndlovu, and how mean-spirited people have become even in the entertainment industry.

In a live video on her Facebook page, she started off by telling her followers that she was heavy-hearted and shattered this morning. She said she needed to open up about certain things because she was feeling lonely and so many things were coming through to her mind.

As many are celebrating the life of Lindiwe by paying tribute to her and circulating her images on social media. Nomsa has told her followers that they should celebrate her life now as she is still alive and not when she has left the building.

“Do not buy me flowers when I am gone, show me now that you love me and that I have a place in your heart. Do not post my pictures when I am gone, tell me now that you love me and show me,” she said.

The Lockdown actress also spoke about how bitter people who are in higher powers in the entertainment industry have become. She said they can decide to write off your character, and no one will speak on your behalf, without thinking about your family that you need to support.

She said she has been working hard in the industry but still she is poor. Nomsa said she is wondering how much Lindiwe left in her bank account due to the immense contribution she made to the local Television industry.

She said they had their own struggles with the late actress and they would open up about them on set. Nomsa reignited the topic of actors getting paid less than what they deserve and end up dying broke.

The actress paid tribute to Lindiwe for her great work ethic and for unwaveringly holding the torch high up for the incoming batch of actors in the industry. She said even though she had a stroke, she worked extremely hard and she was a dedicated thespian.

“Yesterday we lost Lindiwe and we never saw it coming, Lindiwe was a soldier. She worked when she had a stroke, she would be on set early and I would see her working on the set of Lockdown,” she said whilst breaking down.

Lindiwe passed on yesterday and her family confirmed her passing through a statement. “It is with heavy hearts and unimaginable sadness that we bring you the news of Lindiwe Thembeka Ndlovu passing in her home this morning 11th January,” reads the statement.

The family did not reveal the circumstances surrounding her cause of death but they have described her as an unsung incredible actress who lived a huge space in the creative world of acting.

“Her bright, large burning light has gone out and we are devastated to bring you this sad news. To us Lindiwe was family but to many, she was so much more,” said her family.
