Uzalo’s MaNgcobo’s Is Engaged?

Dawn Thandeka King, the actress who plays MaNgcobo in the popular soapie Uzalo, is still mourning the demise of her marriage despite the fact that she now has a boyfriend. The actress divorced her husband of fifteen years, two years ago, and says the pain is still there.

She met her husband at tertiary, dated him for a few years before they got married in 2004 and separated from him before she called it quits. Dawn first noticed her marriage was starting to fall apart when she moved down to KZN (Kwazulu-Natal) to start shooting for Uzalo. She had to leave her ex-husband in Johannesburg with their children because of Uzalo, which created miscommunication in her marriage and triggered her depression. When she realized that the long-distance was damaging her marriage, she ended it and continued playing MaNgcobo on the show.

Her career started to take off as Uzalo grew in popularity in South Africa and her ex-husband was unable to deal with her success.

Things finally ended mid-June of 2018 and Dawn is still trying to come to terms with it all. The actress says it’s a painful and traumatic journey for her and the children but she had to do it for her sanity.

Today the actress is rumoured to be engaged to Mlungisi Ndebele. The couple was spotted together, wearing matching outfits and rings at Baby Cele’s (Gabisile) umembeso this year. Dawn who’s been in a happy relationship with her new beau, previously said they’re still enjoying their privacy and will tell their loved ones when they’re ready.

She stated that the reason they’re keeping things private is that they want to go public when the relationship has matured. Sources reveal that the actress is flaunting her engagement ring and her relationship on set and doesn’t care anymore.
