Uzalo confirms the exit of Nompilo from the show

Uzalo and the SABC have confirmed the exit of Pastor Gwala and Nosipho.

Nompilo Maphumulo is a South African media personality known for being an actress. She is popular known for playing the role of Nosipho on Uzalo. She has also appeared on Durban Gen as Zodwa but only on Season 1.

On Uzalo, she was the daughter of two dangerous criminals being Muzi Xulu and Mangcobo. Unfortunately, her father on the show passed on and as years went, her mother ended up leaving her for her to survive on her own. Rumours which were circulating are true and Nompilo has left Uzalo that airs on SABC 1.

Confirming the exit of Nompilo Maphumulo, a statement released said “SABC 1 and Uzalo would like to officiallt announce that our key characters, Nosipho and Pastor Gwala will exit the popular soapie at the beginning of season 9, which will debut early next year”.

“Nompilo has been an integral part of Uzalo since season 1. She has brought us a memorable rendition of Nosipho that the fans will never forget” Uzalo Producer, King David Mukwevho added.

She later confirmed her exit on her Instagram timeline that she had dumped the show and said the reports were true: “I’ve made the decision to leave the show with immediate effect; everything said in this article is 100% true and I have nothing further to add or dispute.”
