South African actor Simphiwe Majozi from Uzalo has come forth to rubbish all the abuse claims levelled against him. This comes after Simphiwe Majozi’s ex-girlfriend and DA ward Councillor Kekeletso Mahlelebe.
Following the abuse allegations by Simphiwe Majozi’s ex-girlfriend of 6 years Kekeletso Mahlelebe. Majozi has since issued a statement where he refutes and rubbishes all the claims levelled by him. In a statement, Majozi claims that he has never laid a hand on Kekeletso Mahlelebe.
“I have learnt of the malicious claims of abuse and cheating by my ex-girlfriend Kekeletso Mahlelebe on Sunday Times edition. I would like to categorically state that I respect women very much and those that has had a chance of being in close proximity with me can attest to that. I have sisters and female colleagues and friends that are female and laying a hand on Kekeletso is one of those things that has never happened ” quoted from Simphiwe Majozi’s statement
These abuse allegations came about when Simphiwe Majozi’s ex-girlfriend Kekeletso Mahlelebe spoke to the City Press, where she was relaying the torment she endured at the hands of Majozi. Kekeletso Mahlelebe accused Simphiwe Majozi of both physical and emotional abuse during the 6 years of dating.
“Keke is a pathological liar, which includes her continuous misrepresentation of her political position in the Democratic Alliance and her overall lifestyle, and now the malicious abuse allegations against me. I am also aware of her foundations which deals that affect women including GBV, it is unfortunate that she has decided to a serious issue affecting many women in our country by creating these false allegations against me” quoted from Simphiwe Majozi’s statement.
Kekeletso Mahlelebe, who is also a Democratic Alliance Ward Councillor spilled all the beans to the publication relating to her abuse. After years of bottling up things to herself, Kekeletso Mahlelebe saw it fit to come forth and break her silence about the abuse she recalls from Simphiwe Majozi.
“I risked a lot to make sure that he was okay and that was draining because, at some point, I even tried to commit suicide. When that happened, he saw me taking the pills and he just said I must do it [kill myself]. The following day, he told me that I was being selfish and I was not thinking for my child,” said Kekeletso Mahlalebe
On top of the abuse allegations, Kekeletso Mahlelebe has also raised issues of cheating in the relationship by Simphiwe Majozi. Mahlelebe recounted a time where Simphiwe Majozi has cheated on her while they were still dating, and which has contributed to her emotional abuse.
“I remember one time he had a gig in Pietermaritzburg where he kissed a woman in front of me … another time when we were in KwaMaphumulo, and he did the same thing. When I questioned him, he said he lived to give the fans what they wanted … There is also a girl who went to his house and that child is practically [a part of] his family. They were dating and she is turning 18 this year.” said Kekeletso Mahlelebe
Simphiwe Majozi’s statement has refuted all the claims levelled against him and his version of events supports that what Kekeletso Mahlalebe’s claims are malicious and false.
