Industry colleagues, close friends and fans have taken to social media to pay tribute to Big Brother Mzansi star Rethabile “Dinkybliss” Potsane.

The 29-year-old died on Sunday. Details surrounding her death have not been made public.

Her management confirmed the news in an official statement saying she passed away in the early hours of the morning at Hillbrow Clinic in Johannesburg, adding that the family is distraught after the tragic loss.

M-Net’s director of local entertainment channels, Shirley Adonisi, recalled the impact of the reality star in a statement.

“Mzansi Magic is saddened to hear of the passing of one of the Big Brother Mzansi season 3 contestants, Rethabile ‘Dinkybliss’ Potsane. Dinkybliss captured the hearts of many South Africans with her outgoing and vibrant personality on the show that solidified her standing as the ‘mover and shaker’. May her soul rest in peace,” she said.

Big Brother stars Naledi Mogadime, Mvelo Ntuli and Vyno Miller, as well as actor Zolisa Xaluva, were among the stars who flooded the timeline with tributes.

“The last conversation I had with Dinky, she was congratulating me and sent positive vibes my way. Let’s show love and support to people when they are still alive. My heart is shattered. Sending love to her family,” Naledi wrote.

“The mover and the shaker. The vibe created. Terminator. Master of destruction, is how she should be remembered. To a beautiful soul who’s memory will live within us forever. Till next time, my friend … I guess our two-hour phone calls have come to an end. Loved me like her very own little brother. One of my biggest supporters. Rest in perfect peace, my friend,” Mvelo wrote.
