Traditional healer and reality TV star Makgotso Lee-Anne Makgopo, better known as Gogo Maweni, has topped the Twitter trends list after her interview on Podcast and Chill with MacG aired yesterday. The sangoma got candid about her love life, the pets she owns, and her children. Gogo Maweni admitted that she owns the weirdest and most bizarre animals.

“My house is full of snakes, we have 5 snakes, one owl, two rabbits and we have two tortoises and three beautiful dogs,” she said.

Gogo Maweni slammed those who say she practices witchcraft with the snakes. People typically allege that snakes are used for dark magic or to accumulate wealth in African culture, but Gogo Maweni has cleared her name.

“I don’t use these animals for anything. I love animals,” she said. She went on to clarify the process of Ukuthwala saying that ” If uthwele with something, another person can’t see it( the snake) with their naked eyes. If ngithwele ngenyoka, you cannot see it, but I can see it, because it’s mine,” she added.

Gogo Maweni went on to reveal that she once took her snake to the doctor because it had flue. She said after she posted the video online it gained traction and people had mixed reactions. Gogo Maweni says she has a Doctorate in Traditional Medicine, she accumulated from uMhlab’uhlangene University which is in Durban, KZN.

She also explained how she bewitched her baby daddy footballer Siyabonga Zulu after he hurt her.
