Things to know about the late newsreader Pearl Shongwe
Radio and television personality Pearl Shongwe was found dead at her home on Tuesday 8 November. Here are five things we know about the Metro FM newsreader.
Sunday World reports that Pearl Shongwe was found dead at her home in Polofields, north of Joburg on Tuesday 8 November. A source told the publication that Shongwe was found dead by neighbours who alerted the police.
“The police are on the scene trying to establish the cause of her death,” said the source.
Another source told the publication that Shongwe was found lying dead alone in her home. The source also claimed that no injuries were found on the body.
“At the moment all I can say is that no injuries were found. It appears that she might have died of natural causes. She was found lying on her bed face down,” said the source.
1. SHE WAS BORN IN SOWETO
According to Sunday World, Pearl was born in Soweto.

Pearl was on the Touchdown with Tbo Touch show on Metro FM.
