Things That Don’t Make Sense In Uzalo

The departure of Uzalo’s head scriptwriter; Chris Q. Radebe has made us question the current script on Mzansi’s number one soapie. It has become obvious that the writers and producers are no longer concerned about keeping their first place since they’re repeating storylines and firing actors that could actually make the show great again.

Here are 4 things that don’t make sense in Uzalo:

Nosipho’s employment (financial status):

Nosipho has been managing the shisanyama since forever, yet she doesn’t have a car, or a house. Which brings my next question; what does she do with her money because she’s living rent-free at Nkuzi’s and even complains when he tells her to pay R2000 rent.

Her unemployed mother is currently homeless and she can’t even book a BNB for her or get a room in the township? Rooms in the townships are about R500 to R1000 a month, which means she could even move out of Nkunzi’s house and share a room with her mother who’s sleeping at church.

Fikile and Sbu living in a shack:

How is it possible that Sbu is still living in a shack when he’s been working for Nkuzi for so many years? Can he not even upgrade to an RDP which is free and much better than a shack?

It doesn’t make sense that his girlfriend; Fikile who works at the salon can’t afford to rent a room which is better than a shack. We know that Fikile is a shopaholic but the duo should’ve upgraded by now because they’ve been hustling.

Also why does everyone who is chased out go to Fikile and Sbu’s shack? It started with Kehla, then Sbonelo and MaNgcobo. This shelter of sorts scenario is honestly tedious to keep up with and makes the writers look lazy.

Sbonelo is a qualified doctor:

Since Sbonelo’s criminal days are behind him. Why doesn’t he go back to being a doctor, secure his own money and move out of his father’s house. We are failing to comprehend the logic behind a qualified doctor becoming a criminal because his father is. If that’s the case, then the show’s name should change to ‘Nkunzi’ because it’s is a headache to watch this crappy, repetitive storyline.

Nkunzi’s Polygamy

The polygamy story line has run out of its course. We are having that Nkunzi and wives scenario for the millionth time and we already know how its going to pan out.

Why doesn’t MaMlambo move back to her own house, what happened to her house? She and MaNgcobo are two of the strongest women on the show and rely on Nkunzi to provide for them, it doesn’t make sense.The writers should decide if they want MaNgcobo and Nkunzi to be lovers or enemies, the on and off/up and down relationship has become an absolute cringe fest.
