Tembisa Hospital audit recommends strengthened control measures
Gauteng Health MEC Nomathemba Mokgethi says an internal audit at Tembisa Hospital has highlighted the need to strengthen control measures.
The audit was launched in the same month that whistleblower Babita Deokaran was gunned down a year ago. She was investigating corruption at the hospital at the time of her death.
“The audit was part of efforts to ensure that the facility adheres to supply chain management processes and also financial management policies,” said health spokesperson Motalatale Modiba.
