Television actress Rami Chuene slams police minister Bheki Cele
Television actress Rami Chuene has called out the minister of police Bheki Cele for allegedly drowning, as the human trafficking scourge continues to be on everyone’s lips, with many sharing their horrifying experiences.
Rami who is never one to mince her words said the minister should have gracefully declined to return back as the minister of police because he is failing. “Ndosi should have gracefully declined to return as police minister. He’s drowning. The lack of action on #GBV issues, human trafficking, etc. portray him as one who’s lost touch with the protection of the country and its citizens,” wrote Rami in a tweet.

The minister has come under fire on social media following his recent interview on SABC News, where he said he is not sure about the human trafficking cases whether they are about publicity, saying that since the lockdown started the number of human trafficking cases have declined.
Rami is not the first SA celeb to call him out. Celebrities like L’vovo have also said that when it comes to alcohol-related topics, the minister is vocal but when it comes to GBV he is mum.
Babalwa Mneno who has been accused of allegedly being part of a s.e.x trafficking ring has had to address the allegations recently. A few years back the businesswoman trended with many accusing her of being a pimp.
Babalwa recently took to Twitter to set the records straight in a statement that she is not involved in human trafficking incidents.
” I note with dismay the accusations mounting that I am involved in the human trafficking scheme on social media. I have never been involved in human trafficking. I am a legit businesswoman. However, social media bullying has caused reputational damage, violence and emotional distress.”She further said her legal team will take legal actions against the culprits who continue to peddle the allegations.
“I wish to indicate that an investigation to understand the provenance of the accusations, as well people who continue to vigorously peddle them, is underway. I have been advised by my lawyer’s legal action will be taken as soon as this issue has crystallized.”The minister has come under fire on social media following his recent interview on SABC News, where he said he is not sure about the human trafficking cases whether they are about publicity, saying that since the lockdown started the number of human trafficking cases have declined.
