Tbo Touch appointed as vice president for Floyd Mayweather’s The Money Team Africa operations

Last month, local radio DJ Tbo Touch seemed to be having the time of his life abroad while hanging out with boxing champion Floyd Mayweather – but it turns out that he was also securing some deals.

The businessman took to Instagram to reveal that he was appointed the vice president of Floyd’s lifestyle brand, The Money Team, which will be launching in Africa soon. Tbo Touch is set to oversee the brand’s operations on the continent.

“Breaking News: #Forbes 1 for the decade, The Undefeated Champion Brand hits the continent. Johannesburg Cape Town Lagos Nairobi @floydmayweather we are about to roll out Mayweather Fitness Gym, #TMT Clothing & Merchandise and ……..???? ???? ???? ???? ???? get ready to join the winning team. #whatatimetobealive,” he wrote.

It is not the first time the radio personality will be part of the management team of a mega brand. He owns his own media and marketing company, Touch HD, which was rumoured to be facing liquidation. But speaking to DRUM last year, the entrepreneur poured cold water on those rumours.

“I put R33 million in Touch HD, which I got in different ways. I sell gin, wine and I am into property and other things, so I was able to raise the money for Touch HD. Touch HD is doing amazing, don’t be fooled by naysayers,” he said.

“We never closed down, we migrated to THD24.com.”
