Taxi association, e-hailing drivers set to meet

There seems to be no end in sight for the fight between minibus taxis and e-hailing drivers. The two groups have once again clashed with several e-hailing cars torched in Soweto recently, allegedly by taxi drivers.

On Tuesday, e-hailing drivers blocked the roads in an attempt to shut down the Protea Glen shopping centre. The two groups as well as Gauteng transport officials are set to meet on Wednesday to find a way forward.
