Miss SA Shudufhadzo Musida gets a hero’s homecoming

The streets of Seshego, Polokwane were filled with joy and love yesterday when people gave newly-crowned Miss South Africa Shudufhadzo Musida a hero’s homecoming.

Her day started at Meropa Casino outside Polokwane for breakfast, where she spoke to the media. Then she paraded in a white Mercedes-Benz cabriolet, waving to the people lining the streets.

She said she liked her chiskop and preferred herself that way. “It saves me a lot of time. “The weaves look really good, but this is me and this is the way I look. It’s a bold decision for women to choose how they look.”

She said her crown was a big responsibility. “As Premier Stan Mathabatha said, I’m a mirror for village girls,” she said. Mathabatha said Limpopo, Vhembe District and himself were smiling because they have Shudufhadzo.

The newly crowned Miss SA Shudufhadzo Musida has moved into her swanky new abode in Sandton. Shudu seems to be settling in very well in her new home after staying for a couple of days in Cape Town at the Table Bay hotel.

The 23-year old received R1 million in cash from the Miss South Africa Organisation. Her 3 million rands prizes included the use of the fully furnished and serviced apartment at luxurious Central Square with fabulous interior décor by Enza Home and a Mercedes Benz C200 Cabriolet for the year of her reign.

The Miss SA organization shared a post on Instagram where they congratulated her on being finally given her house keys

“Welcome home beautiful Queen @shudufhadzomusida ! Cheers to all the memories that you will create in this beautiful home @centralsquaresandton as you serve our country with pride!” they wrote.

Now that the new Miss South Africa has been crowned, all the prizes meant for her have begun to be presented and they are in excess of R3 million in their worth. Shudufhadzo Musida was crowned Miss South Africa 2020.

The 24-year-old from Limpopo beat 15 other contestants from across the country to scoop the prestigious crown.

She will therefore be receiving R1 million in cash from the Miss South Africa Organisation, as well as the use of a fully furnished and serviced apartment at luxurious Central Square with fabulous interior décor by Enza Home and a Mercedes Benz C200 Cabriolet for the year of her reign.

Prizes also include an American Swiss official crown sponsor, dental, and oral hygiene care from Cahi Dental.

The 1st runner-up will take home R250 000, the 2nd runner-up will get R100 000 and all 10 finalists will receive R25 000.

Today 4 November, Miss South Africa Instagram page shared cute snaps of new Miss SA being presented with her luxurious car as per contract.
