Shaka iLembe season 2 is being halted by the Kwa-Zulu Natal royal houses. Families of tribal leaders featured in the popular show have gone legal in other to prevent Mzansi Magic from airing Season 2. The reason behind the legal actions is that the production company, Bomb Productions reportedly misrepresented facts.

Speaking on the decision to renew the series, MultiChoice CEO General Entertainment Nomsa Philiso was appreciative of the support that the series has gained. “MultiChoice is really committed to telling the SHAKA ILEMBE story, and this season 2 announcement confirms our intentions to honour the iconic figure of King Shaka with a continuation of his story on air.”

Shaka iLembe actor Senzo Radebe was nominated for a significant international award. Senzo Radebe was at the centre of Shaka iLembe as king Senzangakhona of the Zulu clan.

Shaka iLembe was all filled with top stars who showed so much talent, but it seemed Senzo had been more consistent. Other than Shaka iLembe, Senzo had been with Gomora, and he impressed a lot.

“lnternational Award Nomination ? Best African Actor ? Haibo U’Nkulunkulu Emuhle Njalo Thank You @septimiusawards” Senzo Radebe was nominated for Best African Actor at the Septimius Awards.

The ceremony will be held on the 26th of September, 2023, in Amsterdam in the Netherlands. South African actresses Khanyi Mbau and Rosemary Zimu were also nominated in other categories. The talented actresses will face each other in the category of Best African Actress.
