Lasizwe Dambuza let social media into his mourning process during the final send of his father, Menzi Mcunu, and let us just say that social media was less than happy about that.

The YouTube sensation laid his father to rest this Friday. Menzi Mcunu passed on Sunday, 20 September 2020. On the day of his passing Lasizwe was Cape Town with his siblings, which included beloved media personality, Khanyi Mbau. While Khanyi has opted to mourn her father’s passing in private and away from the public eye. Lasizwe from the get has made it clear that he will mourn the loss with a camera lens in hand to make sure that his social media stays having content.

The latest set of images that Lasizwe decided to gift his followers were those of the final moments he shared bidding farewell to his father. In a series of images Lasizwe showcases how immense it looked like to say goodbye to his father. While the images paint the popular YouTuber, it was long after posting the images that tweeps and Instagrammers dragged baby-boy for “displaying” his most vulnerable moments.

The biggest drag that people on social media dragged him for was the choice of images he decided to share on his timelines. In all the images that Lasizwe managed to decide need to go onto the socials, he is on the verge of crying, already crying or has allegedly save a tear on his cheek for the camera. People went in on the images suggesting that Lasizwe had specifically told the cameraman, Koena Siyotula, to snap only when he sees tears.

The second came as result of his outfit and styling choices. All the siblings had opted to dress in white to be clearly distinguished amongst the rest of the mourners. Lasizwe opted for a “custom made” suit by go-to designer, Ryan Keys. Lasizwe is already known for questionable outfit choice. However, what confused many was how could he copy-and-paste and outfit by Billy Porter and think that it is not going to make headlines. Another aspect of the outfit that many gave the side-eye was the shoe choice.

Last point on the styling that many wondered about the inspiration of was the nails. Throughout the procession Lasizwe had his manicured nails looking like the nails we know. However when it was time to bid farewell at the gravesite, Lasizwe opted to shake the table by adding talon on the hand that was in view of the camera. He then outstretched the and just right for Koena again to get the “right” moment.

After realizing that he was being dragged , Lasizwe responded on Twitter. He defended himself with a line that had weight by explaining that, “Life isn’t a group assignment.”

Lasizwe Dambuza and Cedric Fourie‘s friendship, or whatever you call it, has been one hell of a ride. The pair won the hearts of many fans by giving Mzansi a sneak peek of their friendship goals on Lasizwe’s hit reality show Fake It Till You Make It and with their sizzling content on social media.

The TV stars were once completely inseparable, they used to attend events together and Cedric was even a cast member on Lasizwe‘s reality show, but it ended not so well.

Even till today no one has come out to let the cat out of the bag on what happened between them and seemingly there is more than one meets the eye. The two were rumored to be an item and even on his reality show Lasizwe teased in a clip and said “We are something”, giving fans an opportunity to guess if their friendship has blossomed into a full-blown relationship.

The pair set tongues wagging when they attended the prestigious Feather Awards together wearing matching outfits. Following their attendance, Cedric was subjected to a lot of hate on social media with many saying he is “gay”.
A female fan tweeted and said he is a waste “This guy from #SkeemSaam is gay… What a waste and to believe I had a crush on him,” Cedric did not let it slide and and his clap back was lethal.

The actor defended the LGBTQI community and tweeted “Lol this experience has taught me a lot. Gay men are being called “waste” by some bitter women who’ve just realized they’ll never have them. As if they’d have them if they were not gay. I will never stop being an ally to the LGBTQI+ community ninyile.”

A fan recently asked what happened between them and Lasizwe replied “It all ended in tears, Ausi,” shuu, we wonder what really happened and we hope one day they will spill the tea.

Celebrating Heritage Day yesterday, Lasizwe posted an old snap of him and Cedric and decided to blur Cedric, HECTIC!

What we know is that they were friends because Cedric shared a promo of season two of the show and captioned it, “The friendship that got the nation confused. We are still here, spreading love and enjoying challenging stereotypes.”

Speaking to ZAlebs recently Lasizwe said Cedric Fourie won’t not part of the new season of his show. When ZAlebs asked why? He said viewers will have to watch the show to see why he is gone.

Reality TV star Thulasizwe “Lasizwe” Dambuza has opened his heart and pocket to a rape victim.

He recently offered to pay for a woman who couldn’t get over her trauma to undergo counselling.

“I’m also a victim of rape and no one deserves to go through that, trust me,” she had said in response to a tweet.

Lasizwe then replied and said: “I am offering to pay for your counselling. DM me your details and let’s see how I can help you. I am so sorry.”

Lasizwe said: “Speaking up and talking about such a traumatic experience takes a lot of courage and guts.

“When I saw that tweet, I took it upon myself and I decided to offer my help and take her to counselling, so she can heal from it.”

Lasizwe said South Africa had a long way to go before men would stop raping and killing women.

“It’s painful to see reports of women being raped and killed every day. But we can speed up the process of stopping these injustices by unlearning some of the things taught to men while they were growing up,” he said.

“First, men need to learn and understand that no means no. The fact that some people find pleasure in being forceful needs to stop.”

Lasizwe said the woman would start undergoing counselling soon.

“She has reached out to me and we processed the payments for counselling,” he said.

“The doctor said they will first do an assessment and then they’ll say how many sessions she’s going to need.

“She’s said she will continue going until she has gotten over the trauma.

“I hope these sessions help her, so she can continue with her life without being reminded of this dark time in her past.”

Lasizwe took to his twitter to show his fans his new set of teeth. He made this known through a video on Twitter and it looks like the star can not just get over his new teeth.

The Social media influencer has been self-conscious about his teeth pretty much his entire life but now, he was able to get enough to get the teeth done.

Getting his teeth fixed was something he had been wanting to do for the longest time and now he has finally done it, he can smile more often now.

“So I have always been insecure about my teeth and how I smile for years now! Finally, I can afford to change my teeth and get the smile I’ve always wanted! Hard Work Pays off!”

Furthermore, some of his fans felt there was nothing wrong with his teeth but they are still in support of whatever decision he is makes or decide to make.

Gay father of 1 Lasizwe asks South Africans to teach their kids about homosexuality

Lasizwe has been very open about his sexuality and has been praised for helping change the narrative about the LGBTQI+ community.

Recently he took to Twitter to encourage parents to teach their children about same sex relationships

“I believe we need to start educating kids from the ages of 7 about homosexuality and make them understand about same sex love.” he said in his post

He went on to ask why parents are refusing to teach their kids about homosexuality?

It doesn’t end there, Lasizwe who revealed he has a daughter said he is also going to teach his children about homosexual love.

And as usual Black Twitter is always on standby with their views and comments, here is what some had to say;

@jezile_sam
Children enter primary school and bully each other only because of ignorance. People who believe there should be an age limit to teach children about homosexuality are homophobic. They are implying there is somthing immoral about gay ppl and kids should be protected from it…

@Karim_llissa
?
I think it’s very important that they know from a young age that it’s normal and there’s nothing wrong with it

@tsakaneeee
Just do exactly that and allow others to teach their children whatever.

@ItumelengDanny
That’s very sweet of you… Just allow others to teach their kids what they want

@Bebonke_J

Yeah …Hambo citha iSperm uzalalise….and leave other Parents to teach their Kids however they like

Do you think Kids should be taught about homosexuality?

She went on to explain that she is far from finished with him, and has no issue being as bitter as he is. Zodwa clarified that it was her upbringing which led her to care for the young man, and she has no regrets in doing that. What she does have an issue with, is the fact that he has dragged her name through the mud and had stolen from her.

In a comedic twist, social media sensation, Lasizwe, asked for Zodwa to care for him just as much as she cared for Vusi. He commented with, “Can I also be fed, I don’t mind being straight for you Zodwa! I’m in your DMs check”. Zodwa responded back with a series of laughing emojies and a heart.

Some of his family members aren’t too happy about seeing family business aired out on MTV. In most cultures indigenous to the African continent, everything that happens within a family is only supposed to be known by members of that family and nobody else.

Lasizwe in trouble with his Family for spilling secrets

So, it’s easy to understand why reality star Lasizwe Dambuza would find himself in hot water for “spilling” family secrets on national television with his MTV reality show ‘Lasizwe: Fake It Til You Make It.’

I wanna give South Africa something different. 90% of South African reality shows they have some realness to it but I don’t think they have this kinda real that I get into detail with which gets me in so much trouble with my family,” says Lasizwe in an interview with the Citizen.

“You know my family will be like ‘Yoh! You’re exposing family secrets, yoh! You’re showing things on TV!’ But for me, it’s not about exposing family secrets or showing things on TV,” he adds.

His reasons for being so real are actually quite selfless. The young social media sensation is aware of what a young audience he wields so much influence over and he would like them to know that he goes through some dark things and still manages to make it through and not let it turn him into a horrible, broken person.

Lasizwe explained that he would also like to remind people that despite the position he holds in some people’s eyes as a celebrity, he’d like to remind them that he’s still a regular person.

That is also why he felt the need to include some of his more famous friends in the upcoming third season of his show.

In one of the trailers for the upcoming season, we see the likes of Mihlali Ndamase, Norma Gigaba and his very famous sister Khanyi Mbau featuring in different scenarios throughout the season
I have a good relationship with my friends and my family that are on the show and it’s with pure intentions. It’s not like you know I want any scandal or ke batla drama. It’s genuinely like I want to have lunch with you the way we’d regularly have lunch and have conversations.”

“You’ll see, during the course of the episodes when we do speak about the issues we address on the show, it’s actually like real things that I go through on the show and things that are happening in our industry and stuff….”

Another moment we’ll get the 411 on is Lasizwe’s infamous interview with podcast host Macgyver MacG Mukwevho of Podcast and Chill with MacG.

Known for his lengthy interviews, MacG’s long-awaited interview with Lasizwe is only 20 minutes long and most of the interview is spent lambasting MacG for not being on time and cutting into another appointment in Lasizwe’s busy schedule.

“90% of the time, I’m a punctual queen and I respect my time as much as I respect other people’s time so I get a little bit frustrated and annoyed if you’re going to come unapologetically and you’re late and you’re just chilled.”
