Somizi’s Madam Gigi Costs More Than A Whole Mihlali Ndamase
Beloved media personality, Somizi Mhlongo-Motaung commented on a post on Mihlali Ndamase’s trending RuPaul Drag make-up tutorial video. The Idols South Africa judge was tagged in a post dragging Mihlali over her drag queen transformation in promotion of the latest season of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK edition on DSTV. A social media user asked if they had decided on the beauty influencer after Somizi refused to revive his drag queen persona, Madame Gigi.
While Somizi would not be dragged in a social media feud with Mihlali by sharing his feelings about Mihlali’s attempt at drag, he did share that BBC Brit TV did reach out to him. His tweet suggested that his asking price to bring Madame Gigi back to life was more than the television broadcaster was willing to break away with.

While Somizi might have not reprised his famous drag persona since he hosted the Feather Awards in 2011. He does post videos on his social media that remind fans that the persona is not too far away. The latest was his Tik Tok post boasting about still having alcohol during the lockdown.
