Outspoken Mzansi media personality Sizwe Dhlomo feels that the media is extremely insensitive when it comes to grieving families. Families should be given time to grieve their losses in private. Sizwe has seen how families have been harassed after loved ones have passed, especially those of famous people.
After seeing what happened after Mamelodi Sundowns defender Anele Ngcongca passed, Sizwe felt the need to express his feelings on social media.
Taking to social media, Sizwe expressed how soul-destroying it is to see the media rip apart families and invade their privacy during a time of need and grieving. It was after the ministry of sport and recreation spokesperson Masechaba Khumalo spilt some deets about Anele’s funeral costs that things took a turn. In a now-deleted post, Sizwe said: “There is no dignity in how media treats grieving families in this country.
Fans praised Sizwe for speaking out and making the issue known. Families deserve peace and respect during their time of grieving, no matter what the media uncover. “No respect and no empathy whatsoever for grieving families. People tend to be very insensitive when it comes to matters not directly affecting them.
