Singer Zahara reveals her new management
ZAHARA has hired a new management team!
The Afro-pop singer, whose real name is Bulelwa Mkutukana, is now working with H.U.G.E Entertainment owned by music specialist Vusi Leeuw.
In August, Daily Sun reported that Zahara dumped her manager and wanted to work with new people.
Leeuw said Zahara has built her brand up to an international level.
“She is currently signed with American recording company, Warner Music Group.
“She has also released her current album Nqaba Yam with this company,” he said.
“She has worked so hard. Our job is simple, it is to protect her brand by making sure that it grows even bigger and stronger.
“We will also get her international gigs and make sure she gets everything that is due to her.”
Leeuw has worked with numerous celebrities, launching their brands and managing their affairs. Among the artists are Boity Thulo, Nomzamo Mbatha, Buhle Samuels, HHP and Mandoza.
Leeuw also assisted in making Arthur Mafokate’s 999 Music Records a successful recording label in the 1990s.
According to the Recording Industry of South Africa, H.U.G.E Entertainment has consulted with the international music brands such as Universal Music and Sony Music.
Zahara said H.U.G.E is the one that stands for her with regards to her work in the music business. She shot to fame with Loliwe, which featured in her debut album in 2011. In 2012, she walked away with eight awards at the South African Music Awards.
