Sindi Dlathu warns her fans about the fake Twitter Account
Social media scammers are always hard at work and especially since not every celebrity is verified on social media they have become easy targets. The River actress Sindi Dlathu is the latest celebrity to find her name being used to catfish unknowing fans.
The actress is on a high, especially after she won the Best Actress – Telenovela award for her role as Lindiwe in The River, at the virtually held South African Film & Television Award (Safta).
On Saturday, Sindi took to Instagram to warn her followers of a Twitter account misleading people on the timeline to think they are communicating with actress, which is not the case. Sindi advised her followers that she only has one Twitter account and her username does not include a double underscore.

Her fans have taken the liberty to report the fake account and also reminded the user if they do they actually know who the actress is.
Hi everyone. I've been informed of a fake Twitter account misleading people into believing they are communicating with me. Please note that I only have one Twitter account and @s__dlathu (note the double underscore) is an imposter. @TwitterSupport pic.twitter.com/OkEKYdqN3m
