Sicelo Buthelezi aka Teddy Excited over his First Award Nomination

Sicelo Buthelezi who plays the role of Teddy in the hit telenovela Gomora is very excited over his very first award nomination which is a Royal Soapie Award.

The nominees of the awards have been realised and Buthelezi is nominated for Oustanding Newcomer. Taking to Twitter the actor revealed his exictement as he wrote

The actor has taken the country by storm as he portrays a special needs child called Teddy in Gomora who faces a lot of challenges and ends up living with his principal and social worker wife.

The character resonates with a lot of people as viewers are familiar with special needs children and the attention they need to succeed in life.

Sicelo’s acting skills have left most viewers of the very popular telenovela gushing over him with the current Miss Universe Zozibini Tunzi also appreciating his amazing acting as he has nailed his role as Teddy and has done the character justice. Teddy’s complicated relationship with his mother Zodwa has also kept viewers glued to their screens. Buthelezi was born and raised in Tembisa and Gomora is his first TV role.
