Miss South Africa 2020 Shudufhadzo Musida, is gearing up to represent the country at the prestigious Miss World 2021.

The Miss World 2021 pageant will take place on December 16, 2021 in San Juan, Puerto Rico at the José Miguel Agrelot Coliseum. Shudu posted a series of Instagram stories showing her picking up her luggage bags from Frasers. In one story, she says that she is ready to pack up and leave the country.

Shudu had a successful run as Miss South Africa 2020. she recently reflected on the journey saying, “My favourite moment of the Miss South Africa journey had to be the relationships I made. I think we underestimate the beauty of how we are relational beings, so the final stage was my favourite because I gained sisters, best friends and had the time of my life. The love between us and the Miss SA family is beautiful and build us as well.
The person I entered when I was Miss SA is not the person I am now. I have more goals that are aligned with not only my empowerment but also the empowerment of all women,” said Shudu.

The model recently released her own book titled Shudu Finds her Magic. The book is specifically for children aged between 4 and 12 years and is available in 6 languages. The book is inspired by Shudu’s childhood and the bullying she encountered when she moved to a new province and a new school.

Speaking about her book on Instagram, Shudu said: “Here are some moments in your life which you dream about but then to see it in real life, something tangible, something to hold. Now, that is something! I am filled with so much pride and joy to present this book authored by myself with beautiful illustrations by Chantelle and Burgen Thorne.

None of us are perfect, we were never meant to be and that’s what makes us so special.” Shudu was crowned Miss SA last year at a glittering ceremony held in Cape Town. Her first runner up was Thato Mosehle and her second runner up was Natasha Joubert. Thato recently represented Mzansi at the Miss supranational pageant held in Poland in August.

She became the second runner up and taking to her Instagram to reflect on the journey, Thato said, “It’s been 2 weeks since the @misssupranational final night! It has been an incredible journey, and what made it more special was meeting the people who put in soo much work into making sure we got the most out of it. Thank you @porxild for being a true Queen and great inspiration. Thank you @andre.sleigh for your selflessness, your passion for uplifting others was so amazing to witness! I can’t wait to see my Supra Family again. Natasha exited the competition in the top 21.
