Shona Ferguson Pens A Heartfelt Message To His Late Father On His Birthday

Renowned actor and TV producer Shona Ferguson, has taken to social media to celebrate the birthday of his late father Pastor Peter Harry Ferguson, and he penned a heartfelt message to him.

Shona shared a picture of him standing behind his late dad and said he loves him and he misses him always, “Happy birthday in heaven dad. I love you deeply and miss you always. Rest King.”

His wife Connie Ferguson, described Shona’s father as a legend who left behind a string of unforgettable fond memories, “Happy birthday to Fa in heaven! He’s left us with such great fond memories! There’s never a dull moment when we talk about him!😂 LEGEND,” she wrote.

Shona’s picture with his father had many social media users thinking it was Ali and his father. The two have quite a close bond and Alicia has quite a strong resemblance to her father, with each other often referring to each other as twin or doppelganger.

One Shona’s fan wrote “If that young one in blue it’s you, Ali, is definitely her father’s daughter coz that’s a photocopy❤️Happy birthday king”

The love they share is tremendous this is also because Shona said doctors had told him that he would never ever have his own children.

“True story – Doctors told me I could never have children of my own. GOD had other plans because he knew I needed you. My miracle baby. Daddy loves you more than you will ever know. I was right there when you came into this world and I will always be there whenever you need me,” he wrote

Shona penned an emotional post early this year describing how his father’s passing has been taking a toll on his life. The producer was very close to his father and, he often remembers all the fond memories that they shared together.

In his post, he said “On this day last year GOD called on you. It feels like yesterday. My heart still sore because I will always need you. Life is not the same without you KING. I miss you, papa. Ikhutse Kgabo. I LOVE YOU.”

The famous producer who recently released his hit series on Netflix, Kings of Joburg said the storyline was inspired by the folk tale his father grew up telling him.

“When I created KINGS OF JOBURG I wanted to root the show in elements of love, family, conflict and power. The premise of the series is centered around the question, “Am I my brother’s keeper?” and this narrative is explored in all 6 episodes. The mystical and thriller side of the story is inspired by the folk tales that I grew up learning about from my late father, Peter Harry Ferguson.”
