Shauwn Mkhize Bags Woman of The Year Award

Is there anything this woman isn’t good at? She continues slaying at every turn and she does it with a smile on her face, it must be all that money in her bank. The reality TV star and businesswoman can now add another win to her long list of wins.

Entertainment news commentator, Phil Mphela, reported this about Shauwn Mkhize, the influential and wealthy businesswoman from KwaZulu-Natal;

The Hollywood and African Prestigious Awards (HAPAwards) celebrates outstanding individuals whose lives have been marked by extraordinary achievement and milestones. The award show serves as a connection for talented Africans with the Hollywood entertainment industry and contributes to the development of several communities in Africa and across the United States.

The businesswoman’s reality tv show – Kwa Mam’Mkhize was one of the biggest hits with South African viewers since it’s debut on DSTV channel Mzansi Magic. The show looks into the chronicles of the Mkhize/Mpisane family, as well as those closest to them.

Shauwn Mkhize is the main star of the show, however, her enviable life is filled with other important characters such as her son, Andile Mpisane and famous stepdaughter, Sbahle Mpisane. The reality show set a new record of 1.7 million views and was leading not only on reality shows but including dramas as well.

Speaking on her and Andile’s nominations she said:

“I’ve led a very private life. It was a long road to get me here. I decided to do this show because the media had long spoken for us.

“We wanted people to see us as we are.

“That was the initial plan but I enjoyed how people responded to me and my family. The love is overwhelming, I still can’t believe it myself”

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem that Andile Mpisane won in his category of ‘Best new independent African artists and best new male independent African music video’.
