‘Senzo Meyiwa got shot after jealous Longwe Twala caught Zandie cheating on him with Mthoko’
Senzo Meyiwa’s brother, Sifiso Meyiwa, says he knows without a shadow of a doubt that no intruders entered the house the night his football star brother was killed.
Speaking to eNCA on Sunday, 27 August, Sifiso reiterated what he has always told media, that Longwe was the one who arrived with a gun at the Khumalo family home because he could not get ahold of his then-girlfriend Zandie Khumalo.
“Longwe arrived with a firearm. He was very angry. They said that he was so angry he did not greet anyone in the house. He was angry because he could not get ahold of Zandie,” he explained to the news channel.
Sifiso claims that Zandie had slept at Kelly’s place the day before the incident. In the house, he says, were Kelly, Senzo, Zandie, and Senzo’s friend Mthokozisi Thwala.
“Longwe arrived there [at Kelly’s] that night and saw that there were two guys and two ladies. He left and returned [on the day of the incident] furious because he felt he was being lied to and made an idiot because his girlfriend is cheating with Senzo’s friend from Durban.
“When he arrived he fought with Zandie and when they fought, there was a ruckus. He pulled out a firearm. The first bullet hit the floor and hit Zandie on the foot. Then there was a tussle for the gun and I don’t know how the trigger was pulled. That is what needs to be explained. But he [Longwe] wasn’t the only one holding the gun at that time, they were fighting over it,” he said.
He aadded that when he arrived in Johannesburg, one the powerful people involved in allegedly fabricating the botched robbery story confessed to him that it “was all lies.”
“He pulled me to the side and said ‘son, all this talk about intruders entering the house is not true. It’s all for the media because Senzo was loved… what happened was that he [Senzo] was shot when Zandie and her boyfriend were fighting,’” said Sifiso.
When the trial started from scratch, Sifiso told TimesLIVE that they trust the new presiding judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng.
He again echoed those words to eNCA, saying he has done his research on the new judge and discovered that he is a no-nonsense person.
“We believe he [Mokgoatlheng] will avoid delays as much as he can since he knows that the whole nation wants justice, the family wants justice, even Fifa, they want justice about this case.
