Samkelo Ndlovu Reacts To Being Called By Her Rhythm City Character Name, Lerato

Despite moving on to other shows, many of our actors and actresses are still known by the names of characters they played on major shows. For example, despite having played many roles on different dramas, Connie Ferguson will always be known as Karabo Moroka by many.

It looks like Samkelo Ndlovu will also battle to shake off the character she played on Rhythm City. Although the talented actress left the e.tv show earlier this year, she is one person whose character is not easy to forget. Samkelo played the role for seven years, starting from the bottom, to being a lead actress on the show.

One of her followers recently identified to her as Lerato on Twitter, and Samkelo explained the kind of relationship she has with the character.

“Shucks, and she’s slowly letting go of me. I’ve even stopped missing her. She was showing up uninvited. I love Lerato, but it’s time we let her go. I’ve told her story and I will always have a part of her with me,” she said.
