Mourners and family had their last moments with the late gospel star and director of Prossy Records, who died at the age of 36 on Thursday, 1 August.

The musician, whose real name is Prospect Tebogo Mofomme, was sent to his final place of rest at his home in Ga-Mabusela Mapela in Limpopo, on Saturday, 10 August. His family and friends accompanied the Mohauhedi hitmaker’s body during an emotional send-off.

Kedibone Mofomme told the publication that his brother’s funeral was a dignified one, with all his fans coming to show support for the family.

“They were so supportive throughout tough times, even today. They showed up in numbers. We appreciate this and may God bless them. Moya wa buti o robale ka Kgotso (my brother’s soul is resting in peace),” she said.

Kedibone said they also thank all the people, especially his fans from Botswana, Zimbabwe, and Lesotho, all over the country.

“Thank you for the love you have shown us. We love you so much, guys,” she said.

Mphoza Mashabela, provincial chairman of The Limpopo Artists Movement (LAM), told the publication that they have laid a wonderful Sion singer to rest this weekend.

“I lack words to express my pain. We lost big time and we thank everyone for their contribution, especially Mankweng Tombstone. Prospect gone too soon. As LAM, we will always cherish his sweet memories,” he said.

Gospel singer Luyanda Ramatswi said he lost a good friend and someone he used to share the stage with.

“I have lost a brother and a colleague. I thank God that he once gave us Prospect Mofomme, who has changed many souls with his beautiful sound and blends, not forgetting his Golden Voice.”

“I will always miss him and the jokes we used to share. We didn’t know that he would leave so soon, but God knew about this. Rest in Peace, Tlou Letebele,” he said.

Gospel artist Teboho Motaung spoke well about the late gospel star Prospect. He said even though he left them behind, he was full of life.

“I am deeply hurt as a fellow gospel singer about Prospect Mofomme’s passing. May God heal his family’s hearts,” Teboho said.
