Award-winning singer Vusi Nova is making headlines in the backdrop of his ‘big promise’ to the late Zahara. Paying tribute to Zahara during her East London International Convention Centre memorial service, Vusi Nova vowed to care for the late star’s family.
No doubt, his big gesture left many in tears. Over the years, Zahara and Nova wowed many with their friendship, which was capped with love and priceless moments.
THE LAST MOMENTS WITH THE STAR
After a short illness, the multi-award-winning star died on 11 December 2023 at a private Johannesburg hospital. Since the star’s untimely death, Nova has been sharing some of their priceless moments on social media.
However, Vusi Nova opened up about his last moments with the star during the memorial service. He has it that when he last visited Zahara, she was in good spirits, and he was hoping that star would be discharged from the hospital.

However, he made it known hours after his visit he was informed that the star’s condition had worsened, resulting in her death. “I walked in there as usual, she was in a private [hospital] room sitting without all those pipes. She had removed them and was smiling,” said Vusi Nova.
He promised to take care of Zahara’s family during the memorial service. Vusi Nova said, ‘Rest, I’ll take care of your family.’ His speech has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped on the internet.
