Relebogile Mabotja on leaving Metro FM: ‘I left Metro on good terms’
Television and radio presenter Relebogile Mabotja has bid farewell to Metro FM after being with the station for a year.
The star hosted her last show yesterday.

The actress took to Instagram to announce her final time on-air: “Lend me your ears tomorrow as I bid you farewell in my final show at Metro FM.”
Speaking to DRUM about her Metro FM journey, the bubbly media personality said, “My experience at Metro FM was one of growth. It’s great that the industry recognised my talent with the SA Radio Awards nomination [in the commercial news bulletin reader category] that I received. I’ll forever be grateful for my time at Metro FM and the new skills that I learnt.”

She also put rumours of being “surprisingly dismissed” to rest. The presenter said she previously discussed leaving the station long before the public got to know about the production changes that Mtero FM recently announced.
“It’s discussions we had before I left. No parties were surprised or aggrieved by the time the line-up announcement was made. I left Metro FM on good terms and still consider the station family,” Relebogile says.

“It was a difficult decision to leave Metro FM, a station that I had come to call home. I left to pursue new personal goals that weren’t in line with staying at the station.”
She also shared that she would still love to return to radio in the future, if the right opportunity comes along.
Relebogile started on The Fresh Breakfast Show alongside DJ Fresh before moving to drivetime show The Kings Suite, hosted by SPHEctacula and DJ Naves.
