Rebecca Malope celebrates her daughter Nolu Malope’s Wedding – Photos
Nolu Malope, Rebecca Malope‘s daughter, is officially off the market. The TV host and PR practitioner tied the knot this past weekend and everything was pure perfection.
Nolu had a beautiful Umembeso that was attended by their close families. Umembeso is a Zulu gift-giving and traditional ceremony that follows the lobola negotiations. In this ceremony, the groom’s family showers the bride’s family with gifts.
She took to her Instagram profile to share breathtaking pictures from the wedding day and she looked stunning. She wore a red and white traditional-style like gown. Nolu said she is now Mrs. Makgotso Mariha and fans took to the comments section to congratulate her.
Her mother Dr Rebecca Malope also took to her Instagram account to congratulate her. “I’m the Happiest mother right now. Congratulations to my daughter @nolumalope who is now Mrs Makgotso Mariha ❤️?? May God bless your union my children . I love you both ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Halala !!! #kwakuhlekwethu #umembeso,” she wrote.
Another one of our favourite celebs who recently had her Umembeso is former Miss SA Tamaryn Green and her husband Ze Nxumalo.
Taking to her Instagram account Tamaryn said their day started with showers and they were receiving blessings. “Woke up on this morning to the sound of rain and I remember thinking this is God showering us with His blessings. It might be a muddy day but so it will be. Then at 11 am, just as our event started, the clouds gave way and the beauty of my home town revealed itself as the sun shon down on us. I’m so happy to have introduced my new family and friends to Paarl.”
“I’m so happy to have introduced my new family and friends to Paarl. I could not have asked for more fun, loving special day celebrating with God at the centre. Thank you to everyone for all the well wishes. We really appreciate it,” Tamaryn wrote.
Noluthando Malope‘s biological mother passed away when she was 6 years old. She was adopted by Rebecca Malope who is her mother’s sister. Speaking to ZAlebs a few years ago she said: “We’ve always had that relationship, even when our mother was still alive.”
In addition to running Artistry Talent Management, Nolu has managed a number of artists in the industry, including her mother Rebecca Malope. Although working with family might be hard, Nolu finds it easier.
“I find it easier to work with family than with strangers, with family we know each other…artists management is about people management first and foremost…so when you know the person inside out, you know when they having a bad day, you know what they like, you know what they don’t and you know what type of decisions they would make,” she said.
