Rapper 50 Cent wants Generations actor Gaddafi (Vuyo Dabula) on his new TV series
Rapper and producer Curtis James Jackson III, better known by his stage name 50 Cent, has something cooking up for TV.
50 Cent, who is the executive producer of hit series Power and its spin offs, said he has an upcoming series coming up called “BLACK MAFIA FAMILY”.
Starz channel has already greenlit an eight-episode, straight-to-series order for Black Mafia Family, marking the fifth scripted show that the rapper and prolific producer has in the works there and sixth overall.
The rapper took to Instagram to talk about his upcoming new series.
50 Cent, who is all about Black Empowerment said he wants to include African actors in his series.
His fans dropped a lot of names of actors they figured should star on Black Mafia.
50 Cent then mentioned SA actor Vuyo Dabula who is better know as Gaddafi on Generations: The Legacy
50 cent said he admires Vuyo’s role in Generations where he plays a thug in a suit and the fact that he appeared in Avengers Age Of Ultron and a Netflix original series Queen Sono.
He says that this means that Vuyo has much experience in this industry.
50 cent talked about his upcoming show at length saying.
I told you Black Mafia Family was coming and it’s going to be the biggest show on television Meech and Terry are legends and I am excited to bring their story to Starz.”
Starz CEO Jeffrey Hirsch said they were excited to have 50 Cent on board.
