Prayers pour in for Gogo Maweni

Mzansi reality TV star and sangoma Gogo Maweni is reportedly recovering from surgery performed on her sinuses this week, this is according to TshisaLIVE.

Gogo Maweni told the news outlet that because her condition had grown more severe over the years, she had to undergo surgery.

“It was for nose reconstruction. I was fixing my nose. I went for the operation because I was suffering from very severe sinusitis and there was bone reconstruction that needed to happen in terms of my breathing,” she is quoted by the publication.

“It was more medical than beauty. I’ve been suffering for about 10 years.

“The surgery went well. I feel much better, especially in my left eye. I am told the headaches will go away after a few weeks. I had the best doctors who did the best job.”

The Traditional healer and reality TV star Makgotso Lee-Anne Makgopo, better known as Gogo Maweni, has topped the Twitter charts in recent months.

She also trended again after appearing on MagC G’s popular Podcast and Chill with MacG aired yesterday.

She opened up about her love life, the exotic pets she owns, and her children. Gogo Maweni admitted that she owns the weirdest and most bizarre animals.

“My house is full of snakes, we have 5 snakes, one owl, two rabbits and we have two tortoises and three beautiful dogs,” she said.

Maweni slammed those claiming that she practices witchcraft with the snakes. People typically allege that snakes are used for dark magic or to accumulate wealth in African culture, but Gogo Maweni has cleared her name.

“I don’t use these animals for anything. I love animals,” she said. She went on to clarify the process of Ukuthwala saying that ” If uthwele with something, another person can’t see it( the snake) with their naked eyes. If ngithwele ngenyoka, you cannot see it, but I can see it, because it’s mine,” she said.

Gogo Maweni also revealed that she once took her snake to the doctor because it had flue. She said after she posted the video online it gained traction and people had mixed reactions. Gogo Maweni says she has a Doctorate in Traditional Medicine, she accumulated from uMhlab’uhlangene University which is in Durban, KZN.

Speaking about her children, she said she has three beautiful children, one of them with SK Khoza, and one of them is American.

Gogo threw major shade at her baby daddy SK Khoza after the Ghost Lady said he is one of the cute men in the country who don’t look like they are from SA. Gogo Maweni said she will give her his number, but she said she must not get pregnant because SK will allegedly not take care of her baby.

“I will give you his number just make sure you don’t get pregnant because he’s not gonna take care of you and your child.”
