Minnie Dlamini broke the hearts of many men when she got married to Quinton Jones on the 18th of September 2018. At the time, her legion of male fans thought that by some miracle, they would get a chance to date her, and her being married shattered all of their dreams and ambitions.

Since her introduction to the entertainment industry, Minnie has always been considered an IT girl, the media personality is one of the few lucky stars who have managed to stay booked and busy throughout their career.

When Minnie got married to Quinton in 2018, she did a first for South African stars by having her wedding air on television as a three-episode special. At the time, that was not the norm but since then, stars such as Dineo Moeketsi and Somizi have followed in her footsteps.For many years, we thought Minnie was in matrimonial bliss so when she announced her divorce in 2022, we were very shocked, none of us saw it coming.

Taking to social media, Minnie announced the end of her marriage by saying she and Quinton’s family experienced incredible joy and devastating loss during their time as a couple, “In the last 2 years our family has experienced incredible joy and devastating loss. During this time, we found comfort in knowing we had each other.”

The Homeground presenter then went on to add how their struggles outweighed their will to continue, “despite our better efforts to absorb the changes in motion, the emotional burden and the post-traumatic distress of our individual loss outweighed our will.”

“After months of separation and consultations with our family and a counselor, we have taken the decision to officially file for divorce”, she explained.Since announcing her divorce, fans have noticed a slight change in Minnie and many suggest that she seems like the ‘old’ Minnie, the one that they grew to know and love.
