South African rapper, Khuli Chana and his wife Lamiez Holworthy are undoubtedly couple goals. The couple recently broke the internet when Lamiez threw her husband a surprise birthday party for his 40th birthday.
Motswako Rapper Khuli Chana recently turned 40 years old and his lady, Lamiez surprised him with a birthday celebration. Surrounded by family and friends, they partied the night away in celebration of his massive milestone.
“GrootMan Finally On the 4Th Floor with my Forever @lamiez_holworthy I love you!! O Lepara!! thank you for a special night. You and @imeldak20 set the bar high. My surprise birthday celebration was one for the books…. A NIGHT TO REMEMBER!” gushed the birthday man! “Birthdays were the worst days now we sip Champagne when we thirsty….I AM BLESSED,” he added in his appreciation posts.
Lamiez shared the same images as her husband and she celebrated not only his birthday, but also celebrated being in his life for all these years.
“40 years of greatness, 4 years as your girlfriend, 3 as your wife (you proposed on this very day) and forever to go. I know that God loves me because of you,” she said.
Lamiez went back to her weave and wore a long grey dress. Khuli kept it simple yet elegant with a black and white suit.
Check out some of the Birthday posts:
Lamiez and Khuli have been together for 4 years and are both raising Khuli’s daughter from a previous relationship.
How they met is one for the books and how Khuli pursued her is also a good story to tell. Their first date had all her favourites which include a bouquet of tulips, and Mickey Mouse teddy bear and a book.
“Honestly didn’t knw that gifts on 1st dates were a thing till I met my guy. On our 1st, he got me a bunch of yellow tulips which are my favs and I had obviously mentioned in a random convo before along with a Mickey Mouse teddy bear (obsessed) and a book I mentioned I couldn’t find,” she shared.
Lamiez wore a long wavy weave after cementing her brand with her signature hairdo. She explained how she did not know what came over her, so she went back to her cut.
“For the first time in the FIVE years since I cut my hair, I was so tempted to change my hairstyle – to wear a wig. I felt like I HAD to,” she started off.
“I don’t know what came over me but glad I was able to come to my senses fast enough to realise just how my power has and always will lay in being DIFFERENT,” she added.
“I’d be going against all that I’ve built and all that I stand for. Imagine having women of all ages, shapes, and sizes wanting to look just like me, only to find me looking like someone else:-someone I’m not. It’ll never not warm my heart… it then hits me that this is bigger than me.”
“Here’s to being the change we so desperately need to see, breaking a rule or two in defying society’s rules and beliefs. All this whilst living your best life and changing a life or two in the process.”
