Phil Mphela On Why He Stopped Sharing Posts About Bonang Matheba

Two years ago, the two personalities were involved in a heated twar, that damaged their relationship for good. This came after Phill Mphela shared his opinion on Bonang Matheba reportedly suing Sunday World for running a cover story about tax fraud, which she called fake news.

Many felt that there has been number of times before, where Phil subtly took on the media personality. This time around though, Bonang did not let this one slide and responded with a lethal clap back. “Go f*ck yourself! Honestly,” she told the entertainment blogger. That’s when a twar with receipts threads started.

Ever since then, Phil who always posts about celebrity news, has seized from posting anything about Bonang. One of his followers wanted his take on Bonang’s new show being on SABC1 instead of premium channels.

“@PhilMphela my King what is your take on the Queen’s documentary being on SABC 1 instead of the Premium channels?“

That is when Phil explained how things stand between him and Bonang. According to Phil, if he says his views on Bonang’s projects, things are taken personally, bringing him hate.

“I made a decision to never say or post anything about her. I think we are both happy with that. I only cover people who appreciate what I do, see value in it and never get personal. Anything I share regarding the project will only bring me hate I don’t need. Wish her well.”
