Over the past weeks, actress Pearl Thusi has been on the trending list and in the news for all the wrong reasons.

Some have assumed that probably she torches storms to remain on everyone’s lips. If anything, bad publicity is good publicity as they say.

Over the weekend, songstress Pabi Cooper posted a video on Instagram and she captioned it: “BOOK US ABEG”, with a teary emoji.

Pearl then commented with laughing emojis and Pabi, together with many other people in the comments section, asked her what she was laughing at.

Pearl was then forced to go live on Instagram, apologizing to Pabi and clarifying that she laughed because she read the caption in a Nigerian accent and thought the Amapiano artist was flexing.

A few days prior, Pearl again left a bad taste on people’s mouths when she said Grammys don’t mean anything to her now since Wizkid did not win. SA Twitter pounced and dragged her for being distasteful, since Black Coffee had won the same Grammy at the event.

Before that again, the actress sparked controversy when she questioned why some people buy fake luxury designer labels instead of just buying real things of what they can afford.

Podcast And Chill host, MacGyver “MacG” Mukwevho has weighed in, following the Pearl Thusi/Pabi Cooper saga. In his latest episode aired on 11 April, MacG said the actress always embroils herself in unnecessary social media drama.

“I think Pearl needs some d**k man. She’s got too much time on her hands dawg. Everytime she’s trending for these weird things I ask myself, why. Like, okay, why is she posting those funny emojis? Why? Why is she going on a date with these CBD guys [in reference to Pearl Thusi’s date with social media influencer Mr Smeg]?”
