Pearl Modiadie’s popular reality show It Takes A Village will premier in September. The show which tackles Mzansi’s social ills has returned for the third season and this time it features the radio presenter.

It Takes A Village, with Pearl Modiadie will air on SABC 1, September 30 and will give viewers an insight on the radio presenter’s upbringing. Pearl hails all the way from a village in Tembisa so the show will be centred around that.

Not divulging too much about the show, Pearl simply shared on social media that the show will be very personal as the star will be leaving ‘no stone unturned.’ The reality show is seeking to help young people deal with their family dynamics and help make them stronger.

WELCOME TO TEMBISA! The multi-talented @PearlModiadie will be taking us to her hometown of Tembisa. She will leave no stone unturned and plans to get down and dirty on her journey to help young people with making their family bonds strong. Love to hear from you,” the show’s twitter reads.

The reality show returns for its third instalment. The previous seasons saw DJ Zinhle as a committed social activist set on her quest to change young women’s lives for the better, starting with the women in her hometown Dannhauser, KwaZulu-Natal.

Commenting on the crux of the reality show at the time, the channels acting program manager Sane Zondi said, “We are excited to bring this new offering to our viewers, at a time when we all reflect on the year that has been and seek to make better choices for the year ahead.

The show is made with the spirit and intention of empowering the human spirit to elevate above its circumstances and to strive for more. So, it is not just a beautifully crafted television format, but will also represent the beginning of a socially-relevant movement.”

The second season was presented by former Bafana Bafana and Orlando Pirates star Teko Modise. He took viewers to Soweto where his upbringing took place as a child with little to no ambition, to becoming one of the country’s top footballers.

This show comes at a time when the young talented woman is expecting her firstborn child.

She has decided to keep her pregnancy guarded whilst throwing jabs here and there to critics. The only update her followers got about her pregnancy are that her bundle of joy is growing pretty well.
